I see a lot of people not liking this level due to the gameplay being repetitive. While I can understand that the repetition can get boring, I'd say it gives it a bit of charm to the level, especially with the song it's representing. Even then, the gameplay is pretty fun tbh, despite there being a bit of timings that are jank.

I really like the vibe and the atmosphere in this level. It brings you into this weird city, and as you further progress, or in MaxxoRMeN's case, "continue to have a great walk", the city progressively starts to grow more disordered, and it all starts to fade. The progression in the decoration is quite nice. You gotta appreciate the city aesthetic of the level, and it fading away into... nothingness? Idk. The gameplay though... this is gameplay I can get down with. Not necessarily for the upwards climb here, but the rest is pretty straight forward. Luckily the whole level sticks with the Beginner - Easy Extreme balancing despite Maxxor saying otherwise. But imo, so as long as I feel like it's quite balanced enough, I think that's more than enough. A real shame that I get an immense amount of lag from certain areas of the level, cause I would be so down to beat this. It's just that the area trigger part at the cube is too much for my laptop to handle. Still though, a damn solid level with high quality decoration and pretty simple gameplay.

I still genuinely think this is still top 10 material for me in terms of Extreme Demons. The whole level itself is an experience, and while to some that may be a boring one, to me I do think it's an adventurous one. I still think the gameplay does a great job having purely difficult sections with additive stress to make you feel a bit tense. The decoration is a big step up from Dark Travel, and while Dark Travel's decoration is great in of itself... it is pretty dated now, even when this was still worked on back in 2020. All the things that made Dark Travel great are here and accounted for, with a bit of original elements like the 32-part ship. I do think it's still my favorite Jonathan level by far. I don't know if anything, even Real Travel, will top it, but only time will tell when Jon makes more levels.

Slow levels don't usually tend to be my thing. I often like levels that go at a moderate - fast pace. It is more of my speed that I am personally comfortable with. But there have been some levels that I give credit because it honestly adds to it, and this is a level that I really do like despite it being too slow for my liking. The overall song representation of the level adds so much to it. It feels, immersive in a way. Like you're taking in the atmosphere of the whole level that you are playing. How the art is represented here is really well done. I do get why you wouldn't like the level. Again, I also think it is a bit too slow for my liking, but the gameplay here complements well with the decoration and the song representation. Out of Place really lives to it's name, being completely out of place from all the other Space Gauntlet Contest entries. And while it is slow, it is very immersive.

I've only beaten this level amongst the other two in the trilogy, but man. Really solid decoration and very fun gameplay.
