Knowing the hitboxes on this level really killed the idea for me to continue with this... it's unironically very annoying to even go for.
The level that I broke my own skill limit with...
I had sights in this ever since Viprin started uploading previews of this level. Not only did I think it looked cool, but it was something that I thought I could possibly do as a new hardest (this was at 2022, back when it was released, and back when my hardest was still Acu). So I went for it, I tried it, I dropped it many times, I picked it back up many times. Hence and repeat for a whole year, with some long breaks in between. I did managed to beat a 2nd extreme demon though at the end of March (that being Zettabyte), but beating Quaoar was still fresh in my mind. And on September 16, 2023... I managed to pull it off.
Alright, I apologize for making this intro a bit dramatic, but truthfully, this was quite the moment for me. I've kept trying to go for it many times and dropping it many times, often thinking that I couldn't possibly pull this off. When I actually beat it, that opened quite the skill boost for me, and marked a rather important landmark to my time playing GD. Me beating this level is proof that I can actually beat extreme demons.
Ok... now for the level itself. I really like the choice of making the level follow the rainbow dynamic. Admittingly, all the parts just did their own thing and they stand out from one another, but they transition rather nicely (I mean... Floppy did had a helping hand with this level. The man knows how to transition parts pretty well). As for the gameplay, the main cryptoknight that was holding me back from beating this level... Flash. Yeah, all the parts of the gameplay are pretty well done, but holy fuck, a majority of my deaths were at Flash. It's incredibly awkward to pass that specific point at the ship, and even if I did managed to adjust myself getting to that point, I still find myself dying there a lot. It's not a bad part tbh, in fact all the parts are incredibly well done, but god damn... that ship part is honestly a bit too specific for me. Alas, it's only my own nitpick. You can even say that was a skill issue on my end.
Well... with the level past me, I've managed to prove to myself that I can indeed get better at the game. Hell, I even showed that I am indeed more than capable of exceeding what I am used to (Managing to beat 5 easy extremes in a month, beating another new hardest within 2 months, etc). All it takes is time and effort to do so. It's not gonna be done quick, so do expect some struggles.
Nowadays, I try to beat an extreme that could theoretically be within my reach. I don't have that time and effort to beating extremes as much as I used to back in 2023, but whenever I do have the time, I'll try to see how much I am able to pull it off until I beat it.

Right, closing thoughts... uh. Quaoar by Viprin and co. The level is incredibly cool, and I highly would recommend playing it if you want to try and improve your skill for the game (that is if you're willing to put up with Flash's part... lol). Should also get some more attention imo. Apparently this level isn't as talked about as much.
This level is absolutely stunning. Lots of creative ideas, plenty of subtle details, and really makes good use of the invert triggers. Very deserved of the Legendary Rate. But god damn, there's some parts of the gameplay that are incredibly awkward. The Robot most especially. Lots of quick clickings and specific timings. Like the part at the robot where you have to time the blue/green orbs, it's pretty easy to overclock the 3rd one, and that's part of the reason as to why I took so long trying to beat it. Aside from that, there were a lot of specific timings, and the ship part, while it's mainly fine for the most part, it'd be a lot better if this was the older ship physics and not the 2.2 ones. But again, it's mainly fine for the most part, and I didn't really have a lot of issues with it.
Although I think the gameplay could've been better, the level overall is still incredibly cool, and I would still recommend it if you're looking for a starter extreme that's not incredibly easy like The Super Hotdog, but also not something that is the common joe like Acu.
Honestly, the difficulty in this leans between the 8 - 9, but the gameplay (at least in my opinion) is pretty good. And in terms of visuals... all I can really say is...

I really like what the level has to offer. It explores the studies of the constellations and it's different shapes. The level has some incredibly interesting effects and some fun ideas. And the gameplay is quite readable. Really what kills it for me on the overall factor a bit is the fact that it's quite unoptimized when I tried playing it despite having a pretty good laptop to run it. Which is a shame really, cause this is a really cool level.

Redid my review on this (Sept. 17, 2025)
As a Lethal Company player, I really like this level. Has a lot of references to the moons, the monsters, and it's almost a near perfect representation on all the chaos that ensues in the game. As a level though... the gameplay and the decoration, while its not that bad, it could use a bit of polishing. I feel as if it's a bit inconsistent in some areas of the deco/gameplay. And also, I could do with the sfx, but you don't gotta make it that loud, lol.
Would be a 6 elsewise, but hey, I've been playing Lethal Company a lot, so it gets a plus point. Would be 7.5, but this was pre Maneater and Sapsucker update, and the Kidnapper Fox is there so... yeah. 7

I didn't think I'd be at a point where a level would peak my interest to the maximum. Not even Well Rested or CastleMania (Mind you, two of my favorite levels in the game) has managed to do that. This level... this had succeeded in doing so. Like, I could watch/play this level for days, weeks, months even, and every single one of those times, I would never get tired of it. Admittingly, I had to give it some more time before fully articulating my thoughts, and after some time had passed... yeah, safe to say that this is my new favorite level in the game, and one that I personally consider to be the best level in the game bar none.
I'm probably going a bit overboard with this. I should probably explain as to why I love this level so much.
It's a lot of things really, but mainly the overall execution of it is what sells it for me. The ideas in this level are interesting and unique, and the execution of it all is done incredibly well. From the many instances of parallaxes in some parts, to the orbiting spider part, to the camera film (that people we're reminded of Lonely Travel) in the UFO/Ship, to the 3D Rotating Observatory at the Robot, and of course the main highlight of the level: The 3D Z-Axis part at the drop and the wave. Each and every part on it's own stand out, but combined together make a very unique experience that, at least in my opinion, stands out from any other GD level. And the fact that the gameplay is functional, and fun to play. I thought it'd be rough at first considering the 3D Z-Axis part, but after playing it, it was incredibly readable and honestly... easy to tell where you're supposed to click. It's not gonna be that easy in the first playthrough, but trust me, you'd be surprised as to how functional it actually is.
It's narrative is also what interests me as well, despite it being vauge due to how unclear it is (deadlines for cc's be damned). But from my own interpretation and analysis from other people, I think I have a good idea as to what it's about. Sorami, the girl that you see in the level, seeks out to study astronomy, but ultimately struggles in doing so. Not entirely sure as to what, but it could be the complications of it all, or a lack of interest. You may have seen in the cube after the film part the words: "When was the last moment that sparked your interest towards astronomy?" I'd like to imagine she started taking interest in it because she has a fascination towards photographing the stars. It's show through the many drawings, pictures, and a video (the film part) she took herself. Someone in Reunomi's video mentioned that those represent her most cherished memories, and now that I look at it... the level itself is a look back to those moments... the reasons as to why she took the approach to study astronomy. Again, pretty vauge due to how unclear it is, but it's rather a nice and interesting story to see, view, and interact with.
I could yap about this forever, but I don't wanna take up too much of your reading time, so to give you a tl;dr... I love this level. I love the ideas, the attempt in story, the visuals, the gameplay, all of it really. It's one of the best experiences that I've ever had in the 9 years of me playing this game, and that is an incredibly high compliment.
Despite my issues with Wherwin, I can't lie, this level is pretty solid.
