Pretty respectable attempt at making something in the spirit of yume nikki, sadly a lot of the ideas just feel forced in without much afterthought and it becomes rather difficult to take this level serious at times. The level has good vibes, I just wish more was done with it

Patience is a virtue, this level is a testament those who can respect its artistic merits and I just so happen to be obsessed with it. Overall pahc summarized the takeaway of this level perfectly, it's so grossly honest with itself that you can't help but empathize with the creator behind it as someone dear.

The rowdy visuals here are presented as that of an amateur creator, the color mixing is peculiar and some designs seem to messily overlap or just look disjointed overall. But don’t judge a book by it’s cover, the elated atmosphere and carefree designs complement the cheery essence of the layout perfectly, it’s almost child-like in its appearance and it truly nails that vibe. It also needs to be said how cleverly the progression is done, needing no real transitions to make parts that are still very separable from each other, it’s quite like the ethereal charm of bob ratchet levels suddenly turning into open world

Goyslop for emotionally unstable middle schoolers, so glad to be reminded of its existence

Brilliant as a performance, pretty much valueless as an actual level. I'll rate it somewhat kindly because I do actually like what it stands for.

Really love the concept of this one, this level takes the most primitive aspects of the editor to its avail and pushes it to its absolute limits. Without having a single orb, pad, portal, nor the use of any feature from after the game’s debut (ignoring the background for now), not a single second feels inessential throughout the entirety of its 7 minute lifespan. There’s something so dreadful looking about its gameplay despite seeming deceptively accessible for a list demon, the difficulty feels intrinsic to the level’s overall vibe and it’s rare to see the current hardest levels own up to their premise this well. Also the amount of gimmicks and smaller details to pick up on and find a moment of brilliancy in is astounding, combined with the mesmerising background effect it becomes surprisingly challenging to get bored of anything. For how little this level can possibly with, it essentially did everything right in my eyes, the concept itself isn’t perfect but the results here are certainly admirable

I've not been the biggest fan of these kinda art based megacollabs astrilith has inspired, theyre pretty much the largest offenders of this modern day megacollab syndrome and I believe this level belongs to that category no less. Cats are my absolute life force and just presenting them in your level in any shape or form already sells me for so much more than should be reasonable. I just dont really find the cats in this level particularly "cute" however, it reminds me of this meme that basically describes these modern day plushies with extremely saturated colors and massive eyes as "fake cute" while the naturally paletted plushies with bead eyes are more considered "real cute". I find the massive switches between styles, and just the overworked designs in general to make the characters feel unsettling, it feels like it's trying too hard to market to me and in turn just looses the charm it could’ve capitalised off of. The sound effects make this issue worse by just being kind of a nuisance and they make the cats feel like they're pushed in your face way more than is necessary. The designs in this level arent all bad, I love the stretched kips inspired cats halfway through the level and some of the block designs work pretty well even with my preconceived biases. However, the biggest issue lies in how most the designs mash together, it never feels like there is any breathing room the way every second or so a new cluster of designs or foreground asset takes up all the attention, everything is very compacted. Overall I cant say im a fan, tho I'll say that the art itself is impressive and I think it leaves room for some potential at least.

I got surprised by this level upon release, I was getting accustomed to 2.2 levels sacrificing their flow for the sake of forcing in the new given features somewhere, but line level managed to adapt to the new update without feeling like a complete mess. The aesthetic feels similar to that of vib-ribbon, rather than having a bunch of structures being scattered around the level it focuses on just having one large connected obstacle you have manoeuvre around. Every one of the few design choices the level makes feels so deliberate, the level builds up slow to introduce you to the main gimmick of the level, that being the bulge effect that’s put over the entire screen. The effect gets wilder as the song starts to take it up a notch, it starts to feel you’re playing drunk the way the structures jump up and down. To even further empathise on the changing pace of the song you also start to see little stars appearing in sync with the newly introduced beat, it’s just these cute little details that makes this level go from a silly afternoon experiment to an actual well rounded project. The gameplay is also super fun and works really well with the bouncy nature of this level, it feels like a mountainous obstacle course of some sorts. I hope wless tries to make more gameplay-oriented levels like this in the future, because this was a very enjoyable experience.
