Amaaaaazing gameplay, really these duals are stuff of legend. Sucks that this never got rated cause otherwise this would be a cult classic insane demon
Its fucking terrible, genuinely one of the worst things ive laid my eyes upon
Easily some of the greatest cube parts in any modern level. The rest is pretty disappointing but not bad
This level occupies a kind of alarming amount of space in my brain but can you really blame me? Access Denied stands out amongst other late 1.9 levels because its incredibly minimal, something that i think defines every dysphemism level to a degree but its definitely most visible here. Whenever i look at this level in the editor im absolutely baffled, because on the surface it doesnt really seem like anything too interesting, everything is almost unbelievably simple, however when you play it, it doesnt matter since it all compliments eachother perfectly. This unwillingness to add anything thats not absolutely necessary to its core is what is so fucking fascinating to me. And with that theres still so much to gush about, from the title sequence, pretty much every transition, the fucking EFFECTS, the phenomenal structuring, etc etc.. Its a real monument to what you can do without relying on unnecessary fluff to fill the voids left in by poor design decisions. Absolutely Brilliant!
Lily has a sense of grandeur rarely seen in 2.0 levels. Heavily inspired by undertale it takes some of the feelings the game captures, being an outsider in this terrifying, dangerous but also incredibly magical world, a world youre thrown into after all the battles already took place and whats physically left are the ruins, a gray sky and shattered sheer black structures. With this incredibly crafted atmosphere, you get a thrilling experience and a memorable 2.0 art level.
Delightful little insane demon from 2.0, Panic Room, is Rays last good work. Ive always been a big fan of pre 2.1 "Very Hard Demons", prehaps because thats kinda what ive been playing for around 10 years now. In essence Panic Room stands out for some quite unique gameplay ideas, themeing and the minute but impactful details.
