The glow up from Dread Intrusion to this level is real. Not too knowledgeable about SCP but I like how this level is focused a lot more around the breach of a single SCP with other SCPs taking a backseat; it gave a better opportunity for Jghost to create a very cohesive progression, where we see the SCP take more and more control over the facility. Unlike Dread Intrusion, you feel a lot more like you're actually in a SCP Site, compared to how Dread Intrusion had some parts where the art and the structures were separate, some where they were together, and it was very wishy-washy as a result.
The gameplay is fine for what it is. I don't particularly like this level's ship focus, since there isn't a lot of interesting things being done with it- it's not exactly just straight fly (kind of like Darwin's MELTDOWN) but I don't find it too engaging except for a few flashes of brilliant details (25% transition, the ending).
I’ve only ever seen WANNACRY and Alien Dream Emulator from kira so this was a really delightful surprise for me. It’s definitely a bit samey the whole way but I think it’s short enough to not get on my nerves as much. Made me realize how much the Gauntlet contests really stifle creativity in aims to please Rob and whoever the other judges are. Here’s a really intriguing map that doesn’t hold your hand the whole way through, while also not having a bazillion particles and structures moving at mach 5! Why can’t creators do stuff like this all the time?
