It’s quite lamentable that Dry Out is 10+ years old and no remake has nailed the execution of the upside down part without just reusing the same gameplay from the original level. To give credit where credit’s due though, the decoration in that part of Dry Out 2013 is fantastic; the rest of the level is fine to below average otherwise in terms of deco. But idk, I feel like if you’re making a Dry Out remake/v2 you need to nail the feel of that upside down part’s gameplay- that’s like THE Dry Out part.
Something I like to do often in GD is search up levels that share names with other art I like and see what GD players do with them. It makes me feel validated that people have the same brainworms I do.
Sometimes the parlay will hit and you'll get a level like Mekaku City Actors but this was not it. I don't abhor this level though. The fakes are really funny because they're almost contextualized as mixups, and combined with the incredibly compressed sprites I'll say it was hard to contain my joy despite how chopped everything is. Its ameteurish vibe comes off more endearing than anything else. Whoever you are WailingCrow, just know you are the goat and your level will get me through the winter.
