This level always keeps you on your toes; it's such a delicious charcuterie board of ideas, all with the through-line of a computer malfunctioning due to overheating and improper use. Self-destructive is a good way to describe this level, as it feels like it's barely holding itself together, but I think that's what works so well for it- it's chaos contained in a single level.

Really fucking good. So much is done here with so little, but it all culminates to a fantastic experience. The fact that this didn't win Viprin's blue creator contest is beyond me; out of all of those entries, this is the only one I remember fondly. Not only that, but this is the only entry in which the color is used to contribute to a mood associated with that color. There's a good sense of longing and loneliness I get from here that none of those other entries were able to accomplish.

I have this level to thank for getting me into Thank You Scientist's music, a curse I will have to live with for the rest of my life. But what can you say about this level? It's so incredibly sleek and feels alien, yet so familiar at the same time. The progression here is also fantastic, with layers of detail and gameplay being added on yet still being very clear. The main standout here, however, is the gameplay, especially with the attention of detail in how your inputs are released and held. Not much gameplay has that attention to detail which is really interesting. Also, look at that diabolically good endscreen with the piano roll- such a great "payoff" for the whole level.

I'm glad that this got rated and that people are opening their eyes to this one- Gemini is one of my all-time favorites.

A level of boundless creativity, suggested by the title. Definitely rough around the edges but I can't help but enjoy all the little math details put in here and the gorgeous art present, a lot of which ties into the concept of infinity- limits, infinite series, etc. It's a level that gives me a great appreciation for the subject, and probably a level that has had more influence on my life choices than I realize.

Rabbitical does have some bangers that are close to reaching this level's quality but none will surpass the mountain. Such a fantastic use of speed in this level, especially in commanding attention to its gameplay when difficulty isn't able to do so. Not to mention, this is some of the best color work in 1.9- the way the level flashes in tandem with the decoration reminds me a lot of analog gizmos and devices that you see in sci-fi movies.

Hinds' best 2.0-styled level. It is shocking to think that this was made in early 2.0 with how much restraint and creativity is put on display here. Sure, the color work might not reach the same levels as Hinds' later work, but I really like the red and yellow style, it's a very uncommon color combo, especially since this level lacks a lot of orange that would bridge the two together.

This is a prime example for how during a major update, fools will be the ones who rush in with the new mechanics. Take some time and breathing room to get yourself antiquated with them. Hinds doesn't use moving parts a lot in this level, but every time they are used they're 90% better than what other people were using them for in early 2.0.

Incredibly evil ending part but you can't deny otherwise how much joy radiates from this level. It feels almost innocent in a way, and despite how limiting the visuals may look, there still is a lot of really subtle color work being done to keep it lively. Fantastic work.

The inverse of Black Blizzard, with its colorful palette and a larger focus on the predrop. This is one of the few times that a remake has gotten close to replicating the greatness of its original, although I can't really say that it does anything specifically better than the original- there's just too high a bar that was set here. Still though, I think this is one of the most impressive levels with how stacked the deck is against you conceptually- give any other creator this assignment and they would've floundered spectacularly.
