I have a special connection to this level as it's the first demon level I've ever beat. I've always had this fascination with this level despite it not really being anything too special- I mean, for a level named Saturn V, it's not a very cosmic level. The song also isn't that good.

But there's something special about this experience. I guess it comes with beating your first demon level, but I always love to come back to this level and play through some of the parts that are ingrained in my muscle memory. It's like home for me.

Beautiful level. This level demonstrates how difficult it is for a creator to draw the player's attention and respect in an easier level, where you don't have difficulty to rely on to ensure that they're not conked out asleep during the level. The effects are awesome and you love to see the progression of time gradually speeding up before it shatters at the climax of the song.

This level and Transcendence are neck and neck for my favorite Millepatte level, but I appreciate ROTD's cohesion a bit more, which is what tips it over. It's definitely aged incredibly well for how old it is and there are no down parts, it's all momentum and happiness in the same vein that Mario Kart's Rainbow Road is, and while it doesn't have the highs and the mindfuck moments that Transcendence does, it still is very technically impressive for the time. Miss levels like these.

Very neat crystal gauntlet entry

This is in the same league as VOGUE or Tethys for me, definitely great but not at the same height as Presta's peak. Kind of like Tethys, the drop is a bit of a letdown compared to the rest of the level and it ends a bit too abruptly.

Edit: Well, I guess it's now a gem gauntlet level as well

Really creative level, although I think the beginning and ends are a bit too compromising- especially the end and its jump indicators. I think it would've been a better decision to go all out with the distortion and leave it to the player to figure it out.

Renn gets a lot of hate for the sheer volume of levels they release but I think that they're much more evocative of GD's spirit and more creative than the works of creators with similar volumes of work (see Lemons, Optical, etc).

As for this level, it's a very nice vibe, kind of like playing the GD equivalent of a homecoming, and it's a standout level of Renn's. It shows that not every great level needs to be saddled with all the ambition of the world- sometimes your best ideas succeed because they're given room to breathe.

One of three custom platformer levels I've played. A pretty decent level all things considered.

The more and more I think about this level the more it gets worse in my mind. I think that it's very telling that this was a lot of discussion when it came out yet there is none now; a reflection on how superficial and hollow this cartoony/representational/Fortnite-esque style truly is.

Very underrated level from GD's own Shaq and Kobe duo, TriAxis and TamaN. I'm a sucker for representational art that still maintains the visual identity of GD, and while I'm not a fan of the moving elements and 2.0 tiles, I still appreciate the vibe here, especially in the beginning of the level.

One of my favorite megacollabs, and a big inspiration for my creative pursuits in GD. I just love the way the snail motif is used in each part and all the funny and cool ways they interact with the player. It's definitely not a level that succeeds by the books like other megacollabs, but it'll always hold a special place in my heart.
