I adore the amount of character this level has! So many cool details, from the skeleton wizards and knights, to the scoreboard that also acts as a death tracker, it’s all so cool. Has the generally odd gameplay you’d expect from a contest level, but I don’t mind. It’s so well themed and crafted so well. I love how the bossfight looks too. Incredible how smooth stuff like that can be.
I love so much about this level!! I really enjoy the way this level plays, with it being based almost entirely off of the cube, and timings/memory that comes with it. The memory comes off as unfair due to most of it being based off of blind clicks, but something about it just worked for me. It looks very clean as well, I find this to be one of the nicer looking 1.2 levels. also, it just escaped having a negative like ratio!!
my favorite thing from world, and easily the most memorable thing from that game. love the menacing vibe it gives off, a vibe i do not think has ever been replicated by Robtop since.
i agree with the other reviews comparison to Celeste, and i believe Celeste has a formula that works very well. this level flows very nicely, and has very satisfying use of slopes and momentum. the gradient trigger effect is also really cool! love the style this has, one of my favorite platformers, especially at its range of difficulty.
very fun!! looks cool too…another level i have a weird soft spot for, despite it not necessarily standing out. this one always stuck in my mind for whatever reason. levels that do this always intrigue me, despite most of them not exactly being too special.
