The most interesting level mix in the game, mainly due to the choice of having the levels slowly ramp up in difficulty. I think the title of “Ultimate” is earned here, though I’m still not very fond of level mixes as a concept.
Disappointing to see slope boosting get rejected this harshly. The “problems” people have with it can all be pinned down to a “skill issue”.
It lets Death Moon down pretty bad. Feels a lot more messy, with things such as the bossfight or having parts with color schemes that don’t include red, along with the lack of some things that made Death Moon the experience that it was (Such as adding gameplay to parts that would’ve been auto). Standing alone, it’s fine, but as a remake of Death Moon, it falls flat horribly…I’m not sure if any remake of Death Moon could work well, anyway.
