Very fun and accessible extreme!! The gameplay is awesome throughout its entire run, and it plays so nicely throughout, without a single jump I would consider annoying. The pixel deco here is also so clean and pretty, especially during the 1st checkpoint...and it creates such a nice, peaceful atmosphere! Contrasted well with the hopeful and determined atmosphere of the final section of the level, it gives the level a really cool vibe throughout.
One of the strangest extremes in the game. Almost feels like a stereotype of a “needle platformer”. Very unpleasant use of the pixel blocks, bland theming throughout, and very weird gameplay. While the difficulty doesn’t come from any of these aspects, the level includes sloop-boosting, wave dashing, and a swing-copter, and this makes the level feel more and more like a complete mess. The second half of the level is the pinnacle of this, while also being wayyy harder than the rest, and not having the little charm the first half does. As for positives, I do like the atmosphere of the first section. The moon is pretty! The level declines sharply from there. Im sorry for being so negative but…this level is a disaster.
This brings down the trio so bad...i really dislike how a lot of this plays
I prefer this to the original by a lot…pretty fun to go through, actually, despite its RNG elements. The chosen bossfights are also a lot more interesting than the original, despite some of them not. really making any sense as a boss. What is Erebus supposed to be??
