More proof that so many amazing levels were shafted in 1.9 because the rating system was reliant on one guy.

An amazing reinterpretation of an impossible level I was already in love with. AngelEffect is already building up quite a creative resume these past few months.

Never kill yourself

Even if it’s mostly a barebones layout, Greafer manages to capture a feeling of melancholic loneliness that I can only really compare to something like Adrift by TamaN with how it does so much with so little, slow rotating air pieces and black droplets being the only real “decoration” this level has. Yet I feel that’s all it really needs to get the feelings across, it’s unfinished, but in a way that paradoxically makes it feel whole.

The gameplay is slow for the most part, complimenting how bleak the level feels, with periodic bursts of speed that go along with the musical emphasis and despite how jarring this may sound, it pulls it off seamlessly, only adding to the level’s overall atmosphere.

Easily Greafer’s best, even if it was never truly complete, which in turn, only adds to the melancholy that this level exudes.

I really can’t believe this went unnoticed for a whole decade, but I guess such was Geometry Dash before moderators and widespread attention

I’ve been waiting for a new Fynzyme solo for so long and this didn’t disappoint.
