throws out any sense of progression the previous levels had in favor of just being flashy and rapidly showing off the update's blocks and orbs and triggers. this isn't intended to be played after the other main levels, it's intended to be played at the start of 2.2 and never again
so incredibly incohesive. the sampling holds no value and does not contribute to the level in any way unlike something like radio so it's just a jumbled mess of assets
this level wants to be a lot of things it's not. for instance, it makes you think it's open-world, but barely is and halfway through just strips that out entirely; it makes you think it's non-linear, but in the end it's as non-linear as super mario bros for the NES; it makes you think it has a story, but ends up being very poorly written at basically all times. the gameplay seems to think it has something too, but i don't think i've felt this malnourished of fun in my entire life - none of the gimmicks work and clearly were just put in because they sounded and looked cool over being interesting to play. in summary, this is just a really badly refined attempt to be a conventional game experience in a platformer level, failing miserably at that
i respect the dedication to the bit but you have to admit this level would have absolutely no value if not for the context surrounding it
