it's a little sad to me how derivative this level is of the music video it's based on, but i can't really blame it. the few parts that stray from the MV hit the best and i wish it pursued those over reiterating the style the level starts with
minimalist in all the best possible ways
some of quid's best and definitely a standout entry in his levels due to how much energy it has at every turn compared to his usual less strong song choices and representation
as much as i love this level's song representation and progression the likes of which was completely unheard of at the time, it's hard to look past the many flaws it has in both its deco and gp. the fact that it carries itself just by energy alone is impressive on its own though because i wouldn't think this would be anything above a 5 if it wasn't for it
i miss when beating insane demons took me a week because i really didn't get to spend as much time as i would've liked with this level because of it. still really fun and charming. utilizes its song incredibly well
i wish the size switching gimmick was a little more concise, but i have practically no other complaints with this level
i don't think i could possibly work around my biases here given ufo is my favorite gamemode. really gimmicky, fun little thing exploring just about everything you can think of with a ufo within a pretty short span. 2p, portal spam, avoidance, slopes and orbs - what else would you want from a ufo-only level?
