Rating Curve

wow, this is terrible. most of the level doesn’t even have gameplay, and the decoration is really ugly. it’s very easy to tell this level wasn’t made to be good at all, it was purely made to impress the 8 year olds watching on youtube who think a level’s quality is determined by how difficult the visuals are to make. and it’s not like anything in the level is original at all, it’s just rage quit but worse in every way. in fact, this actually makes rage quit look good in comparison.

it’s hard to describe, but the level just looks awful. i hate the colors, nothing stands out and it makes the level look really dull and lifeless.

a lot of levels now don’t take into account that geometry dash is a game, and somehow it’s getting worse. this level is, unsurprisingly, no exception. there’s very little gameplay at all, and the gameplay it has is terrible. after the boring cutscene where you watch the battery be charged for 30 seconds, the level continues and the monsters destroy the level, making it really boring to play. then there’s like one more section where you actually have to do something and there’s a fake endscreen, a very original idea, and for some reason it just ends there.

i’m not a fan of calling levels soulless, but this level is an example of no soul being put into the level at all. everything it does has been done before better, and it just makes me feel empty when i play it. when levels are made for money, they become products. dead device is purely soulless slop made to appeal to 8 year olds for money, and i can pretty easily say it’s the worst level in geometry dash.
