the first 15% is literally an easy demon. look at the difficulty of this level. Do You See What Is My Problem With It

i didn't think a level on the SGC would be able to combine the fun gameplay of the beyond and stardust sanctuary and the insane visuals of aperture and spacetime continuum. turns out kisaragi exists. this is my favorite level from the entire contest, and is very close to being my favorite mythic of all time (if only wannacry and the towerverse didn't exist).

for this i won't go part for part, because the entire thing is consistent visually. there are zero moments that don't fit, are out of place or look worse than others. there are no weak spots here, but i will give a shoutout to the ending for being executed so well. the mix of a "liminal" decoration and the relief of finally being able to rest after such an insane journey is GOLD

but for me the best aspect is the gameplay. you cannot, i repeat you cannot make a level that looks this good so fun. it relies mostly on sync, and if you know me you know i'm a sucker for that. it also helps that many clicks (if not every click) has an indicator to mark it out, which sometimes is unnecessary but on faster parts it lets you breeze through it pretty easily. i think it pulls it off pretty well. also, sync gameplay to a camellia song is a genuine dream come true, since kisaragi is also a very good song. this level is also incredibly replayable, to the point where i've beaten it like 6 times (mind you this is an XL level and i usually never come back to rebeat them), sometimes even accidentally, but it's because i don't mind playing something i've already beaten for 2 minutes since it's so fun

kisaragi getting 2nd place on the SGC might be controversial for some, but if i were to do the rankings i'd put it on 1st. it cares about experience and attractiveness, and that's something that i appreciate a lot after seeing so many other levels forget about playability. we gotta start keeping an eye on empsea, i did NOT have them on my radar at all and i'm glad i got to know his levels through this masterpiece.

easily one of my favorite levels of all time. chaotic levels like these are usually not of my liking but wannacry just pulls it off. now i don't know enough about the wannacry computer virus but i still think it pulls off the "device having a million errors" thematic very well.

of course the main problem for a lot of people is the first part, but i got surprisingly consistent at it and the effect is very good. i like how on the ufo it goes back, i have seen many 3D parts on this game but they're all pretty linear, and i'm glad kira tried something new. for me this level had its first peak on the swing with the screens. the intensity is raised immediately, but the gameplay is slowed down, something i think goes REALLY well with both the level and the song. the drop has a similar aesthetic to the first part, but at this point the level just went nuts so everything is way more chaotic, and i like it a lot!

then comes my favorite ending in geometry dash. i've said it a few times but everything from like 70% onward is the best segment in all of the gauntlet levels and all of the contest levels (of 2.2). try as hard as i can, i wouldn't even get close to how hard this ending hits. the effects going absolutely nuts, the music banging your ears, and the frenetic gameplay (which is a little unreadable but again, i got consistent at it after a practice run) are an amazing combination that only makes this level so much better than it already was.

it's a little sad to see ADE wasn't similar to wannacry, because if kira had kept the same theme (or had made it something more than just a movie) it would've been close, but i don't think it could've topped wannacry. i'm glad other people also have this as one of their favorite levels, i used to think loving this so much was a hot take but i'm glad others can agree with me :)

also shoutout to mr kira9999 once again for cutting out those terrible lyrics on the song, i actually really like it a lot but man the lyrics suck ass. thank god kira is the goat at cutting songs

oddly good at being a joke top 1, it has charm and at least isnt like other slaughterhouse remakes that call themselves joke top 1s. like this is how you do them
