Generation Retro is the fifth and final level of the Poison Gauntlet located just after Shrimp

The gameplay is quite until you reach the ball , i think this requires a bit more indication , the ufo has the infamous invisible size portals every 0.5 seconds and finally the bossfight is a total joke

The deco is ugly , it's the worst but it's ugly , special to the empty background in the bossfight section

Colon pointed out a lot mistakes in a bunch of tiny details but i won't deduct any points for those because honestly , you don't even notice those when playing

Victim is the first level of the Spike Gauntlet located just before Pureland

Both gameplay and deco can be summarised by two words : good enough

The deco is just good enough for a rated otherwise it's empty , it's not ugly but it's empty even for early 2.1 standards

The gameplay is good enough to not be bad but it's boring

Good enough

Chase is a 2.0 level popularized by Partition

The deco is quite good for its time ( unless you have LDM on ) although far from being the best

The gameplay however doesn't follow , the first three gamemodes are fine but the ball is a total joke and the wave is quite repetitive

Just like the creator says at the beginning , play his other levels instead

PeteX is a 1.6 level popularized by AngelEffect during his old levels saga

The deco is AWEFUL even for 1.6 how the f did Rob thought this was rate worthy ?!

The gameplay on the other hand is pretty good but off course there's some blind parts ( i mean it's an old level what did you expect ) and the stair case near the beginning doesn't work quite well but other than that the gameplay is fine

It really is a shame that the deco drags the overall score this far down , and even there i'm being nice because usually i make the overall score by taking the median score between gameplay and visuals however that would mean the level would have gotten a 4/10 but i don't want to give an actually fun level a rating under average

Mechanical Showdown is the third level of the demon gauntlet located between Traction and Vibration , it's also my first real medium demon ( medium demon in-game and has a difficulty between 20 and 29 ) as well as my second hardest !

I heard nothing but praise for this level but i seriously don't understand why ?! Do people like to see their attempts ruined because Tongii decided to move a pilar at mach 10 ?! I honestly think that the 2.0 moving object crisis was justified , object movements like that should be abolished ! The worst thing is that this level wasn't made in 2.0 , it was made in early 2.1 !

Other than the moving objects which completely ruins the level , the rest of the gameplay is quite fun although i have two complains :

1) what are those breakable blocks doing in the second ship ?!

2) why is an asymmetrical dual containing 2 micro-clicks located at 79% , it's just a recipe for chokes this late in the level ! It would have been just fine if it was located towards the beginning !

On the other hand , the deco is pretty good for early 2.1 although i think it deserves a bit more colour

Do i recommend beating it ? Hell no !

In my review on Old Lunar Ocean i talked about something that i call " fake timings " , an imput or group of imputs that doesn't look like a timing yet are one , i also said how much i hate them ! I thought these were only a 1.9 thing yet i found a ton of them in a random 2.2 featured level !

These fake timings are everywhere and completely ruins the level ! I'm not a huge fan of normal timings but i'm ok with them because it's one way like any other to create difficulty in this game and they work constantly , when you do the timing you live , when you don't you die . But with fake timings , not only you are unable to see them , practice mode or not , but they also create inconsistentecy in the level because sometimes they will just not work ! You are supposed to do a timing yet sometimes you can get away by not doing them and die when you do , this is unacceptable !

The rest of the gameplay is not flawless either because some parts are buggy !

I also have to say when things are positive and the deco is ok but it doesn't save the level ! What saves it are the few good parts , which are really good

1st level by real storm is the oldest level still on the servers , with an id of 128 ! It was uploaded 9 hours after the game came out on the 13th of August 2013 !

The gameplay has a few boring parts and is far from being the best thing in the world and the deco ... There isn't any of it !

I won't judge the deco since i can't judge something that doesn't exist but i can judge the gameplay , which i already did but we gotta keep in mind that this level is basically recent tab 2013 edition so we can't be too severe , it's also his first level so yeah ...

Tetrix is one of the most famous 9 stars in the game as well as one of the most popular XL level in the game , is it good ... Uh well ...

The level is 3 minutes and 6 seconds long , in order to have a good experience with such length the level must have different and entertaining parts , this is not the case here ! Both deco and gameplay get extremely repetitive extremely quickly !

The deco isn't innovative at all even at the time ( 1.9 )

The gameplay is boring and is made in such a way that any mistakes result in death , making a very frustrating experience

Overall , the level is a perfect 5/10 , do i recommend beating it ? Hell no !

BP Night is the first level in the game to have lost its rating due to a secret way , for sake of this review , the secret way will not be counted and please note that i beat the level using the normal route .

The gameplay uses a lot the newly introduced ball gamemode ( level realised in 1.3 ) and pushes it to create very innovative and difficult gameplay for the time which is why the level was top 1 in the first place , but other than that ... The gameplay gets repetitive really quick , the cube consists of a single jump and the ships are all straight fly or ups and downs ! And with the difficulty being only in the first 19% and in the 49% transition , the level is unbalanced !

In terms of deco , although there are some cool things , it's really not the best even for 1.3

I guess it's an ok level

Colliderscope is a part of the controversial low object trend , the level only uses 39 objects !

The gameplay is based on the old swingcopter but without the dual , instead it uses a giant blue orb and then , a green orb . You have to avoid pairs of saws roaming into you and , past the first third , blocks joins the party as well . Although it's a really innovative way to make gameplay with few objects , it was horribly executed : the blocks ruins everything and you have to spam at the beginning for the gimmick to work otherwise you'll just skyrocket into the first top saw ! Not to mention it gets quite boring very quickly

On the other hand , the deco consists of a bunch of effects in the background and i got to say they are extremely impressive especially for 39 objects , the deco is basically what saves this level !

In conclusion , Colliderscope works very well as a low object challenge but much less as an actual level , which is why the trend is so controversial in the first place
