Scarlet Surge is one of the most over-hated levels in GD history , it's the second level of the Chaos gauntlet , located between Anubis and Drippy Dub .
The level has gotten an INSANE amount of hate over the years but i think this is only a skill issue because although it's not the best thing in the world , it's light years away from being THIS bad !
The gameplay is fine and uses all the gamemodes available at the time ( 1.9 ) . It's also important to note that Scarlet Surge is one of the few levels i know that uses mirror portals , yet are still fun ! An insane achievement by Insendium ! But , the gameplay is not perfect : it's not the most entertaining thing in the world which would have been fine if the level was a normal length however it's XL so it gets quite boring fairly quickly . Also , some transitions are buggy and the first ufo part is almost impossible to die to .
In terms of deco , there aren't that many ways for the level to fit its theme better in 1.9 but it's not the best even at the time , it's also non epileptic friendly which brings the note further down ( it's also why NC levels can't get 10/10 in deco unless we find a why to fix this somehow ) . It also brings the question of what was RobTop thinking when picked a non epileptic friendly level for the most important gauntlet in the game ?!
In conclusion : Although not the best , Scarlet Surge is an ok level that doesn't deserve the amount of hate it got ! Let's show it some love !
Steel Salvation is a really innovative level : In this level , when you click , your icon doesn't move but obstacles does ! It's a really cool gimmick however it gets really boring fairly quickly ( hence the 7/10 )
The rest is typical AleXins stuff : simple yet pretty deco and awesome song , although i find the deco i bit worse than his other levels
Although not the best , it's a solid level , AleXins did a nice job once again !
Finally , this is another rare case of an overrated non-demon ( let's call those OND ) since the level is rated 6* but it's closer to 3 !
CYCLOLCYC was top 1 on the ILL for a long time , the level has quite original gameplay for an impossible level although some gimmicks gave been seen again and again before and that is made even more obvious by the level's insane length ( 8 minutes ! )
In terms of deco , it's not the best thing in the world but it definitely matches the ILL's quality standards , i could definitely see this rated if it was possible ! I'm a huge fan of this level's atmosphere , it's so cool !
It was a great top 1

Adrift is a classic by now , it's a 1.9 level 3* by TamaN , a very popular creator who didn't disappoint with this one !
The level made its song into a classic , the gameplay is far from boring for a 3* and deco , although not the best , is really good for the time !
My only real complain is the first cube , almost empty in terms of gameplay
I highly recommend it for new players
BP Night is the first level in the game to have lost its rating due to a secret way , for sake of this review , the secret way will not be counted and please note that i beat the level using the normal route .
The gameplay uses a lot the newly introduced ball gamemode ( level realised in 1.3 ) and pushes it to create very innovative and difficult gameplay for the time which is why the level was top 1 in the first place , but other than that ... The gameplay gets repetitive really quick , the cube consists of a single jump and the ships are all straight fly or ups and downs ! And with the difficulty being only in the first 19% and in the 49% transition , the level is unbalanced !
In terms of deco , although there are some cool things , it's really not the best even for 1.3
I guess it's an ok level
Edge of Knowledge is a 4 minutes long auto platformer that is basically an animation about astronomy , it's so impressive that something like that has been made in GD and it's a really good animation , i highly recommend watching especially if you are an astronomy lover like me !
Oh and also , featured are you kidding me ?! This deserves legendary at least !
World Render is one of my favourites impossible levels , it's created in the 2.0 style and it integrates itself really well into that style/update although not the best possible in 2.0
The gameplay is extremely original for an impossible level , it's original enough to make impossible gameplay haters shut up :)
I like the idea of creating the level like it's a collab despite the fact that it's a solo
The only really issue is the song which i don't like ( no offence to the composer once again )
For an impossible level , it's really good overall , nice job AngelEffect !
Note : this is my first impossible level review , let me know if i did something wrong

Jet Lag is my hardest platformer currently , it's also the first platformer demon in the game and what a bad way to start !
Unlike many people , my complains aren't based on the lack of checkpoints , i think that is completely fine . What i complain about is the weirdness of the gameplay ! The level is filled with alien timings all the way through which is a terrible way to introduce the community to difficulty in this type of level , not to mention that i haven't seen a platformer demon use any of those timings since then , there must be a reason why
The deco doesn't save the level either since it's very basic , too basic for my liking
The only good thing about this level is the song ! I can't wait for my main account to be back up so i can have a better hardest than that !
Note : i don't know if i'm being to harsh here , if i am please let me know !
Colliderscope is a part of the controversial low object trend , the level only uses 39 objects !
The gameplay is based on the old swingcopter but without the dual , instead it uses a giant blue orb and then , a green orb . You have to avoid pairs of saws roaming into you and , past the first third , blocks joins the party as well . Although it's a really innovative way to make gameplay with few objects , it was horribly executed : the blocks ruins everything and you have to spam at the beginning for the gimmick to work otherwise you'll just skyrocket into the first top saw ! Not to mention it gets quite boring very quickly
On the other hand , the deco consists of a bunch of effects in the background and i got to say they are extremely impressive especially for 39 objects , the deco is basically what saves this level !
In conclusion , Colliderscope works very well as a low object challenge but much less as an actual level , which is why the trend is so controversial in the first place
When i beat Voyager for the first time , i said it was "cancer" and although that was pretty toxic from me which i apologise for , i still think this level is abysmal !
A lot of things about this level is just why ?!
The object movement in the first ship , the 33% ufo corridor , the robot's second green orb , the asymmetrical dual ...
WHY ?!
Also the deco is not that good , so the level is a total failure !
However , it's not the worst thing in world since the deco has a few good parts and i can brainstorm ways to fix this thing so yeah ...
