Unnecessary cutscene simulator
The song choices alone bump this level up a good bit for me, it's kind of an inoffensive experience and I think that small bit of time is worth it for the vibes
Zip lash but it's actually fun, I respect how sightreadable every section is and how theres always enough space given to rebalance yourself after the moving platforms make their way. Thats about all that can be said about this level though
Talking to npcs and doing certain tasks feels sluggish, it's also annoying to get locked from certain achievements if you dont get them in time. The aesthetics are quite nice and do a good job at capturing the feel of old flash games with its own personal touch on the matter, there's not a whole lot to explore however and things get rather repetitive for what would easily be over a 20 minutes experience. There's certainly some charm and humour to get out of it all, but personally I see a lot of untapped potential
Never thought Id wanna rebeat a level of this difficulty but I simply couldnt hold myself not to, if you dont like the slope physics this might be fairly rage inducing but otherwise the layout is done phenomenally and sets a great example of how you would go about making consistent and challenging gameplay without relying on pure precision. The visuals are stunning, theyre some of the more creative and scenic designs I've seen in any platformer level and the way it slowly progresses into more of colder and somber tones as you further go up the mountain makes for a very tense and rewarding climbing experience. For a plat I still think the premise is fairly simple but the execution is definitely on point, would recommend to any slope boost fanatic
