Out of place stole the clouds from this level's beginning
I want to give this level a 9, but the middle gameplay is not very fun. Everything from the robot after the UFO to that wave with the guillotines was not fun for me. I thought the camera controls for that spider were especially jarring, but other than that camera controls were properly used. Other than that, I liked the level. The concepts and usage of 2.2 features were all really fun and creative, especially the section where the screen was cut in half by the undead knight. The decoration is probably Subwoofer's best behind Crush, and overall, the theme fits the song very well. I really like this level and wish I could give it a higher rating, but due to the unfortunate issues in gameplay. Subwoofer is a very good creator with a distinct style and very creative levels, but needs to improve his gameplay, in my opinion.
Gonna sound crazy but this might just be my favorite subwoofer level personally and i think i figured out why. I feel like most of subwoofer's 2.1 levels looked and played greatly, however gp wasnt anything special and deco, while very polished and immersive, sometimes kind of lacked life. Some subwoofer levels I think could absolutely be improved with more pulsing and movement. Which this level absolutely has, every part has amazing colors and a ton of lively pulses that represent the song so well. I love the movement in the level with stuff like the guillotines at the wave part and the obstacles at the first ship part. Also i think this genuinely plays super well like it syncs so well and has great click patterns

From my Favorite Easy Demon Ranking video:
It's your typical Subwoofer purple castle level that has a spooktacular song made for NCS x GD album. The gameplay is pretty fun the second time you play it, as the first time... yeah, I can't imagine it being fun because of the sideways ship at the end. The decoration really sold it for me though, I love the way the level looks, which is unironically a given as aside from space themed levels, castle themed levels really suit my fancy. And also, the artstyle. I really like Subwoofer's artstyle that he puts into his levels, it feels a lot GD like if that makes any sense. Overall though, Citadel is quite the level and one that I personally enjoy playing, but would not recommend it to people unless you can do sideways gameplay. And once again, the song is a banger. Boom Kitty and Waterflame at their finest people.
