I found it when iCreate Pro started integrating it into their Geometry Dash mod client. You could download macros in game from it, this is why there are so many zbf macros, because that's what iCreate used to use, and iCreate gave this site a decent user boost at the time.

disappointing but true answer: i found it in some twitter thread like everyone else, except they didnt directly link hyperbolus and i never saw anything related to the site on my timeline ever again. i like review sites tho and found it anyway

Mine started when I started to frequently use my AOTY account. I just had this thought of AOTY or RYM but for GD levels, which I thought is pretty awesome, but knowing that the GD and music community tend to overlap, I realized that someone probably already made it, then I found Hyperbolus on a random twitter post idk who's post it is but I was right, and I've been enjoying using this website since.
