Man... this level could've been solid, but the deadline definitely became the main cryptoknight for this level. I can see the vision, I can understand what they're trying to go for, but this definitely feels rushed and unfinished. I do wish Kiragdmj did some rework on this level to better fit their vision, cause this had so much potential.
The ideas in this level are very interesting, but honestly... I think there's a lot left to be desired with this one. Like the level is good. Pretty straight to the point gameplay, pretty solid deco, although I feel as if this level could use something that can make it feel a bit more engaging.
Probably a lot of you were just as confused, shocked, probably excited (but it depends on if you played it when it released) when this level placed in the results. I know for sure as hell I was. It being placed above Aperture and Final Orbit was pretty questionable though. But honestly, I could care less. The fact that this level placed AT ALL is insane, and I am all in for it.
It's clear that this level's gameplay is the main vocal point. While a lot of the entries have been pretty good with it, this one is one that I think excels at gameplay the most. It's pretty basic sync gameplay, but it's sync gameplay that works pretty well as a 9 star. I figured people (especially newcomers who are looking into playing levels) will indeed have fun with this one. I also don't think people have a good idea how huge this level being rated mythic is. It is visual proof that gameplay focused Mythic levels can indeed exist if you put in the actual consideration for both the gameplay and visuals. It's not as impossible as everyone seems to think, it's just incredibly hard to grasp it. (especially considering the standards (and to an extent, ignorance) RobTop has)
I couldn't be more than happy to see this level place and playable in the gauntlet, considering how underrated it is. Maybe not Top 5 imo, it's definitely more Top 10 material than Top 5. Alas, the results are beyond even my own control.
Another level that I consider to be "overrated but good." In the most simple way to put it, Nhelv has incredibly solid song representation and pretty solid gameplay. I can understand why people really like this level / people would put this as their favorite extreme.
Not gonna lie, I had a gut feeling that people would not like this level due to the fact that there is just so much going on and some parts of the gameplay apparently can't function properly, and well... I was correct, lmao. If this were to place in the Top 10, I'd figured people would absolutely despise playing it to the point that they'd send denberZ dts. Thankfully crisis was averted and it placed Top 20 instead. (Probably...)
Not to discredit denberZ or anything. I actually think this level is really cool. It definitely feels like you're the main character of the level and has some insane cinematics. This is a level that I would consider more watch worthy than play worthy though. Again, there's a lot going on in the level, so there's little to no telling what the hell you're supposed to do at times.
If you're VERY interested in trying to beat this level, then go for it. Elsewise, maybe spare yourself from playing this.
Take in the atmosphere of the glowing neon city that is Metropolis.
It was quite the surprise for me to consider Metropolis one of my favorite Easy Demons if I'm being honest with you. Back then I had like... no background knowledge of the level, and then I played it once, and I liked almost everything about the level. I say almost everything cause the gameplay at the 1st drop definitely needed some more balancing. Not to say that it's hard... I mean. Well ok, it is hard, but it's not around the same range as it wants it to be with the rest of the parts, in which the balancing of those parts are quite fair. Aside from that small nitpick though, the gameplay is indeed fun, and hey, I may have complaints about the gameplay at the 1st drop, but it's quite satisfying when you actually pull it off. The decoration in this level is also extremely satisfying to look at and it's definitely visually appealing without having everything being thrown at your face.
This is a level I really do enjoy playing and from a visual standpoint.
