Sonic 1's Bonus Stage... hell.
Sonic 2's Half Pipe... hell depending on Tails' reaction time.
Sonic CD's UFO Chase... actually very fun. It played well and was not all that complicated to learn.
Sonic 3's Blue Spheres... everyone's favorite. And I definitely see why.
These have nothing to do with the actual level, I just wanted to elaborate my thoughts on the Bonus Stages in the classic Sonic games, as this level is based on them. Represents them really well, but I can't give it any higher because of the artstyle and it just being a recreation of it. A 6 is gonna have to do. Not really a 5, because it plays rather well imo.
I've played the original Boss Rush by TicLos, and I thought it was pretty solid. It's a nice little run back to some of the most iconic boss fights in the game. Definitely leaves a lot to be desired though, so not really a high enough rating for me.
Now with Boss Rush 2 however. Holy freaking improvements. This expands beyond the first level by 10x the mile. It's another "3" round Boss Rush with some other iconic boss fights, but here, there's a lot to explore from within the platformer before you actually fight the bosses. The bosses here compared to before have different mechanics specifically catered to them, and some can also carry once you actually beat the bosses. It is something in which I think the first Boss Rush kinda lacked, cause before it was all "go to this specific point and the attack will land," and really missed a lot of opportunities of doing something that's unique to them specifically.
I really enjoy this platformer. Has a lot to explore, really fun bosses, and also has an interesting story to offer. (Also, voice acting in a GD level. Really nice touch)
Alright, alright. Something positive for once.
Compared to hanabi, this one I actually know the two contrasting themes (well... part of it is because LightPotato made a "How I build" video about this level), being the contrast of both The Yandere, and Killbot, which makes for an interesting mix imo, and its topped off with the fact that the level is also named after the ILOVEYOU computer worm all the way back in 2000.
The gameplay is pretty good too, although the 2nd half is definitely noticably harder than the rest imo. But that's also because the nature of the level starts to get more chaotic the more you progress, so while it does make it harder, contextual purposes definitely make up for it a little bit.
Overall though, yeah. Really solid level. It does share the same rating as hanabi, but it's more leaning towards the 7.5 territory.
That's it? Its... just Unblock Master? Nothing else...?
Sorry, I'm moreso confused as to why and how did your boredom lead to... this. It doesn't even do anything special, its just... the same boring shit for a whole 26 hours. 26. Fucking. Hours.
Like... why? 😭
...
I think I've seen enough.
