A great encapsulation of the song as well as a good example of repetition done right in a level. This has to be brutal to play though, I can't imagine this being any sort of fun.
There are some decisions made in the gameplay department that are questionable to say the least, but god damn is this a bop.
there will never be another creator like ozpectro. their work is undeniably very close to GD’s essence and abstract artstyle, yet there is always something that feels different. many other GD players are close or have tried to replicate their style, yet stuff like this is so uniquely ozpectro. it’s very much in the minutiae of how the structures are designed and how colors are used, but it’s so mystifying. it’s a style that could never be done by any other creator today.
effot’s great. it takes all the strengths of ozpectro’s unusual style and puts together an incredibly dense and dissonant show. I wish there was a bit more too it, as it ends a bit abruptly, but i’ll take what i can get. i also love the song choice; something about it feels like it’s clashing while still synergizing with the other elements of the level. quite an odd duck level but one that i adore nonetheless.
