Especially crusty and abrasive takes on Devin-esque art, blinding splotches of blending color, and a billion other styles and designs that defy explanation entirely waffle-stomped and reconstituted into a ghastly, enchanting, hideous, beautiful whole. A psychedelic fever-nightmare that's hard to look at and hard to take your eyes off of in equal measure. Maybe don't play this if you have a history of epilepsy, or a jank allergy.

This guy just showed up and started kicking ass

Like a lot of other recent space gauntlet entries, there's a lot going on here, but unlike some of them, it doesn't feel like it treats its audience like morons. This is teeming with beautiful details, has some of the best colorwork of any entry yet, and I love all the little alien creatures. Definitely hope this one places highly.

While not as consistent in quality for Funnygame's standards as what would come later in the update, Revolution at large is a joyous celebration of a massive turning point in GD, and justifiably wildly influential.
