Another revolutionary level by FunnyGame, and is one of his most influential works to date. This was the first level to do a glare effect, the first level to be a travel level, and the first level to do many other small things that were all first done by FunnyGame. The gameplay in this is extremely fun despite it having a few small issues within it, but if you can get past those (as it does get consistent) then you will really enjoy this level. The visuals within this as I have already mentioned before are revolutionary for its time, and the variation and optimization within this for 2.0 is insanely impressive. Back in 2.0 the object limit was only 30,000 objects, which is the case on why this level is so impressive. FunnyGame was once considering extending this one 2.1 released to use the full song as well, but it would have been a risk he wasn't willing to take at the time.
This level had a ton of revisions in the past and I am happy it did, this level is really well made for its time and the style within it is iconic. Manix did a wonderful job building this and it was truly his prime. Levels like these I wish were more appreciated nowadays as this level isn't talked about as much anymore, and it is a shame since its visuals are extremely good and its gameplay is extremely fun. I would definitely recommend this to someone to beat if they are good enough.
Absolute classic, I love this level and it inspired tons of others. The gameplay within this isn't anything super special, but it heavily inspired plenty of creators and this was very unique for its time. It is a shame we don't have more levels like this nowadays in terms of creativity.
A classic level with plenty of history behind it. This level changed the game a lot and I feel like not enough people understand the true scale of how much this shaped GD, however, it still doesn't excuse the gameplay in some parts. Some parts like Michigun and Etzer are just plainly unfair and really odd to play, and people often only bash on one instead of both. I feel like despite its history, you cannot excuse some of the gameplay with this. As for visuals, this level is pretty good for the time, it hasn't aged the best, but it is still decent I guess for today for what it is.
Flash is a creator who I always enjoy to see, and his level Crop Circles is one of the most well executed levels in the game in my opinion in terms of song representation and gameplay cohesion with the visuals. The gameplay in this is extremely unique, and though a little confusing sometimes, I still cherish it. The visuals of this are unmatched and the little details within this level add so much to it, the level is the perfect mix of creativity and uniqueness. The minimalist nature of this with its yet complicated block design pairs together so well that it genuinely confuses me on how Flash does it so well, and even with the light switch in the second half of the level the little details are still so prevalent. So that gives me a valid reason to give this a 10/10 in my books.
Being the first demon level, the level that inspired the demon rating system in the first place, and for being one of the most impactful levels in this game's history, this really is a really good level. The gameplay of this level is fun and satisfying, and it is overall an enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend beating this if you are a new player to the game, as this level is definitely a skill test compared to most easy demons. The visuals of this level are also pretty decent for its time, as the multiple path trickery is super fun to look at even still today.
Decent level with funny history. I am surprised there hasn't been a 2.2 update to the level considering how DiMa updated the level many times since its released, all of them being after an update as well. For what this level is and for its history, I like this level. The visuals as they are now are decent and have kept up with the times, the updates that released in the past also never made any super large changes that would hurt the level, and I appreciate that, and I hope that trend continues in the future. The gameplay of this level is not anything too unique, I do wish the last ufo had actual gameplay though instead of being auto, but it isn't really that big of a deal in the end. In the end, this level is well made and I like it a lot, and I can't wait for DiMa to try and purge the comments again like how he did in the past.
Incredibly fun level, I loved beating this when I did and I have mainly only positive memories about it. The gameplay is very well made and consistent, and it truly stands to the test of time when it comes to gameplay and visuals. The visuals within this level are very polished and good to look at, Woogis style I have always loved and I believe that will never change. I hope one day Woogi makes a comeback, as I would love to see what he would make today.
Definitely my favorite Nine Circles level, and one of the most unique ones as well. Having done many practice runs of this level, I can say that I love and enjoy this level a lot. The visuals of this are incredibly pleasing to look at and I love how its executed in unison with the song, and the color use is beautiful as well. I hope to see more levels from Linear in the future, as I have incredibly high hopes for whats to come from him.
The way I feel about this level is like a toxic relationship filled with abuse and trauma, but I still love this level and its history. I started playing this around a year or two ago for fun and eventually have gotten 51% and 51-100 x3. I love this levels gameplay so much and I adore it, it is incredibly fun and visually outstanding for a hell level. Its song representation is so good, its execution of each and every part is made so well, and playing this truly feels like you are fighting to complete the final level in the game. I understand why many may not like this level, but my own reasons for loving it are incredibly personal and biased, and I hope one day I can beat this, but the issue is that it is a toxic relationship. This level would be a massive jump for me and every time I play it something terrible happens in my life, this level is a curse on my soul yet I crawl back to it every time I can. This level is addictive and it feels like it is mocking me and laughing at me for not being able to complete it and struggling with the circumstances this level throws at me, and I adore it for that. I love how this level is unapologetically evil and terrible, I love how it is unfair, and I love how at the final click of the level it is just a single buffer that lets you complete what many considered impossible back when it was released. This level is by far my favorite top 1 this game has ever seen and is one of my favorite extreme demons within GD.
