There's something to be said for copy-pasting a ton of the same object for structuring. There's a ton of different use-cases for building levels out of mostly blocks or orbs or lines, and as such many different kinds of levels have employed the technique, but it always makes for a very uniform style that absolutely doesn't deserve the label of "object spam" or the like. In the case of levels like Uniformity or this level it can make for some very interesting gameplay that I would consider pretty much always worth looking goofy or unpolished. I don't think hhhhheeelllllooo is the best example of that or anywhere close but it still had a fun little vibe going on that I liked. Also a good sightreading workout

Obviously I don't have as much profound stuff to say about Rivers of Nazareth as I did Caraspace so I'll keep it short but my ambivalence toward this level (especially against Audieo's other levels lately) is mostly due to the playing experience. I'm not too experienced with extremes so I won't be too harsh on an otherwise remarkably well-received level but it's very clear when playing it that Audieo isn't that experienced of a player himself. If anything it reminds me of when I try to build extreme gameplay - the sync is very flimsy at times, most of the parts are very awkward (until you learn them, presumably) and overall it just feels undercooked. It's not really satisfying to pull of in the same way that some similar levels are, if that makes sense. I don't have a huge problem with the player being in the center like many people seem to,but because the level is so obnoxiously bright it just feels a little too daunting to try and get this otherwise straightforward gameplay down. It's just really not for me.

I think the effects in this level range from decent yet uninteresting to genuinely really creative. The last ship, although it's probably the worst playing part, is absolutely gorgeous and justifies a lot of the design choices made earlier very well. Rivers of Nazareth employs a ton of divine and astral imagery, hence the name, and although I don't think this level is as strong in theming as it is effects it's definitely worth the rough deviation from AudieoVisual's baseline aesthetic. Also seeing this level get legendary was really cool, certainly deserved for the hard work!

I should get out of the way that I absolutely want this level rated. I'm not sure how many sends this level has but it's somewhere above 30 and it's absolutely overdue at this point. Personally though, it's not totally my cup of tea. It's not exactly that I'm not a fan of the song, more so that I think there's a lot of missed potential. I love the Mr. Puzzle character throughout the level, but I think the TTS dialogue is a very underrated part of the song and pretty much goes without acknowledgement. The song also shouldn't have been cut, I think having the first half meander for longer before the mood shift happens would have fit better. Also why leave him out of the ending??? The last part is actually a good chunk of the reason why I didn't like the level as much as I could have, it's just not really satisfying and I feel like it's teed up to be much better than it is. That's pretty much it for the criticisms though, Object Permanence is pretty creative and the mood shift is executed really well. The lineart is super pretty too, it's very distinctly doodle-y and I think it's really cute. I'm sure literally everyone on the mod team has seen this level at some point but whatever you guys can do to get this rated would be awesome!!
