The deco is solid and the gameplay is very well synced and very fun... except there are a few chokepoints that seriously brought my enjoyment down. As fun as the rest of the level is, constantly dying to 1 of 3 places was not the most enjoyable experience for me to say the least.
I can't tell if the incredibly tight timing is from 2.2 or if it has always been like that, but I can't see what 2.2 would've changed in that regard. This level is super unbalanced and finnicky. The start of the level is fine, then you get to an incredibly tight, off-screen timing. There's a UFO section that feels very weird to play, and the dual is very buggy. Immediately after the dual, you are met with some rather tight timings and more offscreen clicks, into a ship that can sometimes kill you during the transition. After that ship are 4 incredibly tight ball timings with invisible spikes. What a great way to end a level
Honestly, this level isn't all too bad. There's a rather janky UFO section and duals that are very weird, but the wave gameplay is pretty fun and the memory isn't too difficult. The deco is fine for the time that it came out
The only level on the Hard Demon List that requires clicks. There is a moderately difficult 2p section in the middle that is unoptimal to have an actual second player, but it's not that bad. The hardest and least consistent part is the UFO directly afterwards, having moving objects and janky portals.
Conceptually, this level is a very good remake of the old demon mix levels back in the day, but this level lacks in playtesting and good transitions. The level is also very unbalanced, but personally I did not find any part too chokepointy. It is full of buggy gameplay and visually, the deco is just copied from the original levels.
Just another difficult version of Clubstep, now featuring a ton of orbs and portals! The ships are not very generous, the mini UFO is not generous in the slightest, the ball timings are extremely tight, this level is just bad. I can't even properly review this level, it's just bad
I like the waves in this level, and the cube memory isn't terrible. The level falls apart with the UFO and especially the ship though. The UFO seems synced to the music, but then it stops being synced. The ship is very unclear where to go, and it has some really annoying timings. Unlike the previous sections, there is no sense of direction, so you just end up avoiding all the orbs.
I'm sorry, I just found this level incredibly boring and frustrating. The cube part is fine, though very bland, but it's the ship part that's not enjoyable. Not only are there slopes involved, but some of the timings just don't feel right at all. Also the slope jumps at the end of the level were incredibly frustrating to do, I think they may be 2.2 bugged, but I can't tell. This level might be relaxing/refreshing to some, but to me it's just boring
This level is the worst in every field possible. The song for starters is absolutely terrible, and anyone who says it's good is delusional. The gameplay is completely horrendous, having the tightest and dumbest ship sections imaginable. The first 4 ships are massive chokepoints, then the section after is incredibly janky and you will die to random stuff constantly. The big ship section afterwards breaks in practice mode, and features an incredibly tight gap that will eat up more than half your attempts once you get to the ship. After the ship features a moderately ok section that has a few unintuitive timings and a very tight, blind spider click. There are also invisible portals and speed portals that you also have to look out for in this section. Never play this garbage level unless you are a masochist
This level has incredible music sync and has very nice deco that reflects the song fairly well. Luckily it has also been updated for 2.2, which makes it even better. The gameplay, while long, is extremely consistent and very well balanced (apart from one section starting around 50%). The end is very nerve-wracking and very easy to choke, which I will say there are a few clicks that don't seem to work like the should, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment.
