While this level is pretty frustrating to learn (especially if you're new at the game), I honestly found this level really fun to play. I like how the level flows and found it pretty satisfying to beat. I'm still gonna give it a 5/10 because the level still has its faults, but I think this level is kinda overhated.

Electrodynamix if it lost its wife, was homeless, and was murdered on the streets.

The gameplay here is what I'd like to call "noob unfriendly". It tricks new players into jumping in sections where it would kill them because they didn't study the GD physics for 1,000 hours. You NEED to learn the GD physics if you wanna sightread this level. Not only that, but also there are times where text spam would cover the player during the ship part, potentially getting people killed because they couldn't see their icon.

Speaking of the decoration, the update killed any resemblance of cohesion this level had. The creator decided to update the level with a bunch of text hating of "Buff This" out of all things. It honestly feels like an old man complaining about things that aren't even relevant anymore. I don't get why Robtop can't revert the update to this level, since it would fix most of the things wrong with the level.

So this was the final outcome for this level. A broken level with half arsed gameplay with random text spam complaining about a level nobody cares anymore. This level is truly rotting from the past. I hope the creator of this level reverts the update he done to it. It deserves better.

There isn't much to say here. Well, it's just your typical edgy highschooler humor level. Although, I do wonder how the people who worked on this level feel about it now.

CBF player plays without CBF after 10 years. Here's how it went:

Level level feels like playing on a 50hz monitor. Half second input delay with a janky ass gimmick. This entire level is luck based with 0 skill. Also your input sometimes doesn't even change the gravity. Cool.

Crazy how fast road improves at the editor. Both the gameplay and the decoration is great! I love the analog photo aesthetic road went with this level. It makes the environments fit much better into the level rather then it just being environment decoration. The gameplay is also really good and fun to play. My only complaint is that moving the objects instead of just the camera in the first section is a bit weird to play around, but after a few practice attempts it was fine.

I hope road makes more platformer levels in the future. Crazy how fast he improved at the editor.

World's first level to actually use the pixel blocks well.

For real, this is a nice break from the typical platformer extreme we see. The level has a nice use of decoration and effects that compliment the style the creator was going for. The decoration was inspired by Celeste, but it has enough original ideas that doesn't feel obvious or just a rip-off from that game. I really like how the level was structured around the jetpack gamemode. It makes the level feel more purposeful and not just a gimmick. I also like the two distinct sections the level has. It keeps the level going without the previous section dragging on for too long.

All in all a short but sweet level. (7.5)

Art in its purest form.

Acceptance is not just your typical Geometry Dash level. It's more then that. It's pure unbridled thoughts and feelings from the creator. Thoughts about creating for yourself and not for anyone else. Thoughts about creating something that you will cherish forever. Thoughts about creating for the love of it. That's a beautiful message that most creators nowadays seem to forget sometimes. That's why I love creators like SGameT and sN0UK. They build to express themselves and for the love of it.

When I talked to some new creators, one of the things they would always complain about is how people would say that their level wasn't "rate worthy" enough, and how the rating system as a whole made themselves think worse about their creations. I know many talented creators who stopped creating because they felt that they weren't good enough for the "standards". That shit is soul crushing. Imagine the number of lost potential creators who stopped playing because some mod didn't think their level was "up to standard". It's an epidemic that many people don't talk about or just accept it as "part of GD", when in reality is discouraging people to make level they actually like and instead make a generic 5* pixel level to "fit in". It's devastating. Reasons like these are why I admire these levels so much. They tell people to stop creating for the "system" and start creating for yourself. It's beautiful.

As for the level itself, the level starts out as a typical 1.0 level, until the song starts glitching out. That's when the level turns into an abstract morph of scaled objects and trippy shader use. In the middle of the level, the creator talks to the player about what creating means to them. He questions if creating should "meet other people's expectations" or not. He answer's: "It's your vision, with your own standards. I can't even define it myself. But it's what I believe in. This is what creating should mean." before dropping the trippiest visuals I've seen yet. The use of the music along with the shaders makes this level so emotional to watch. I can't describe it, you just have to play it for yourself.

That's all creating really is. An output of your current emotions and desires. I feel like most creators forget that. If you're not liking anything your creating, then what's the point of it? The editor has infinite potential to create something you love. Why waste it on a level you're gonna feel indifferent about in a day?

The epitome of "creating for yourself and not giving a fuck about other people's expectations". Candy has everything that might make someone hate the level, either for personal or standard reasons:

  • Layout block design

  • Heavy use of effects and flashing lights

  • Obscure references that most people wouldn't know

  • The use of copies assets from other levels

  • Cringy song

But I think that all these "issues" make the level standout from the rest of the crowd. It's truly a level that was made for the creator, and only for the creator, and I highly respect anyone that makes art for themselves instead of the factory produced levels that is the awarded tab.

Not to mention that the song and the sync in this level goes so hard.

Another banger from SGameT. All though not as good as joselita, it's still an amazing level that manages to feel like a journey without any use of words or images. Amazing work as always.
