When I first saw this level in the honorable mentions of Jamattack's CC5 results video, I wanted to check it out because it looked quite interesting.

I'm glad to say that this level did not disappoint at all. The level nailed it when it comes to theming. The gritty texture the level has fits the factory theming so well. It would've been so much less effective if the level tried to look as clean as possible. The clashing colors and basic structuring in the level give off a function over looks vibe that many factories give off. I also really like the way the gem was incorporated into the worldbuiling. In one of the rooms, you see that the gem is used to power up the factory, which is at least an aquedate explanation as to why this factory has the crystal. Later on it shows a sign that says the gem causes blizzards. This explains why this level is frozen over and that's really awesome.

As for the gameplay it's pretty fun! I do like how you have to hold for different amounts of time instead of having to just time the jumps; it makes the level much more interesting than if it stuck to one length of holding. I also do like how the spikes are extremely noticable without sticking out like a soar thumb. If I were to have any complaints, it's a few things. Firstly, the gameplay is too indicator reliant. If I were the creator, I would've instead added some kind of shade in front of the background so that it looked further away, giving it a contrast between the gameplay and the background. Secondly, the front wall of some of the buildings are really obstructive. The structuring would've been able to show that the player was inside the building just fine. Thirdly, there's this jump at 45-46% that feels really awkward to do because of the invisible slope on the stairs that prevents the player from jumping because of the physics. Despite these issues, though, the gameplay was pretty fun.

Overall this level is an incredibly underrated Jamattack CC5 entry!!! I really loved playing this level and I do wish that it got a higher placing. I personally would've put it in 2nd place behind Forgotten Metropolis.
