Manages to go just far enough when it comes to visuals. The usage of 2.2 mechanics like the middle ground and vertical gameplay are used in such a creative way, too. This level also boasts a really climatic ending.
As for the gameplay it's pretty damn fun. There are definitely some chokepoints that were extremely frustrating like in one of the timings in the ball part of the teleportal spaceship segment as well as ufo part in the climax, but it wasn't to an absolute extreme extent.
Completely bulldozes over the rough but fun and intuitive gameplay just to turn it into obnoxiously learny flow gameplay. The visuals don't really stay faithful to the originals; it just feels sterilized. The glow and pulses feels like a cover-up of how barren the structures actually are. I know the original level's structures aren't much more complex but those structures at least embraced their simplicity. Also I really don't like how the logos stick out so much like a sore thumb. This level isn't themed around the creators.
I can't believe i defended this shit lol
Moral issues aside this level kind of blows. Bullshit orb timings, cluttered visuals, unfunny as a joke.
I'm just glad that this level was meant to be a joke. Completely misses the mark on what made the original good. Extremely inconsistent style, little to no progression, and several different unnecessary gamemodes forced into the gameplay.
Better off being an individual level than a gauntlet contest entry. Not very beginner friendly.
Besides that, it's pretty damn cool! I love the smug guy dancing as the whole computer is being set on fire. Feels really evil in a cute way.
