This level's visuals are phenomenal. It's rather flashy, but everything fits the song really well, not just in terms of sync but atmosphere as well. The infamous robot part at around 60% or so, for instance, has a dark background contrasted with warm orange blocks and deco to match the warm feeling of the song, and the ship/UFO part immediately after has a more simplistic color scheme with a bunch of floating spikes everywhere to match the floatiness of that part of the song. The gameplay is pretty fun to learn and to execute, as well, although some parts (specifically the aforementioned robot part) feel a little less consistent than others.
This level definitely felt like a journey. The gameplay is really fun for how easy it is, and as different as the parts look, none of it really ever felt disjointed.
Beautiful level. The gameplay is really fun for a 3* level, and the deco is phenomenal, not to mention the best usage of cutscenes I've ever seen. I'd definitely say this is by far one of GirlyAle's best.
Extremely fun level. The gameplay is exceptionally well-synced, and the sections are so varied you don't even notice that there are exactly two gamemode changes and zero size changes across the entire level and they both occur in the first 25%. The deco looks really cool, too; the wavy parts in the second half look really unique.
I don't really know how to describe this level's atmosphere, except that it seems like it's trying to be creepy and cartoonish at the same time and it's somehow working. Definitely not the first mixture of aesthetics I'd think to do, but this level executes it really well. I also like that it puts the bossfight at the start instead of the end to just completely turn everything on its head. The gameplay is also really fun; the clicksync in the first wave feels really good.
I really like the usage of the new 2.2 effects in this level. The camera filters really add to the feeling of liminality, and the sound effects enhance the underwater atmosphere. The gameplay is pretty fun, too.
The visuals are outstanding, but I did notice that the second half of the level took far longer to learn than the first half. I'm pretty sure at least half of the attempts from my first practice run were spent on the last quarter of the level. Regardless, it was pretty fun overall, especially after having learned the gameplay.
Really fun gameplay. It took me a little while to learn, but once I'd figured everything out, it all flowed really well. The theming is nice, too.
This is the best take anyone's ever done on the trend of making a mashup of all the main levels. Rather than going through the game linearly, it takes a winding path throughout all the main levels at the time, starting with the beginning of Base After Base (presumably in reference to the original level Ultiate Destruction, both the first level previewed and the planned level using the same song as this level), going through all the most memorable parts of all the main levels, and finishing off with the last ship of Stereo Madness, which I think is probably the best finale possible — it's not too hard, it offers an extra bonus challenge, and it makes it feel more emotional looking back on how far you've come. The styles can clash a little sometimes, especially when a later level is juxtaposed against, say, Polargeist, but that's kinda the nature of the style, and staying true to the levels' styles is a better artistic choice in this case than making it look more modern. I think this is about all that can be said about this level, really.
