You have to admit, it's charming. It's not even unfun, either; the gameplay is pretty basic, but nothing about it is inconsistent or annoying in any way.
Beat this as my first hard demon a couple years ago. I was lucky enough to fluke it from 90%, which may influence my opinion on this level. Regardless, you can't deny that this level is a masterpiece. The idea of combining Clutterfunk (funk) and High Life (future) into one level entirely different from both (and with its own space-y stuff at the end!) worked out really well, and definitely helped boost Jonathan's creating career.
I'm going to disagree with everyone here and say that this level is a classic just like The Nightmare. It has a similar level of popularity (widely regarded as one of the easiest demons), and I really don't think it's all that bad — in fact, some of the unique design choices (such as the portal deco) help the level stand out from other levels from its era. The only mildly annoying thing about it is that one bounce pad that got broken due to a change in how the ball handles ceiling collisions, but that's pretty easy to get around.
The updated visuals are kinda messy, but the gameplay isn't that bad. Definitely feels a little easy for a demon rating, though.
The infamously buggy orbs at the start are bad enough — while you can hit the orbs consistently by not buffering, less experienced players may struggle to figure this out, and this really shouldn't have to be taken into account — but there's a part later in the level with some reasonably tight wave spam that could easily be another choke point in a level that I really don't think needs more.
Gameplay is kinda hard to read in places, but it's a pretty fun level overall and the deco looks nice.
Fun level, but some parts feel too hard for a 5*, and wave-to-ship transitions usually aren't the greatest.
A little generic by today's standards, but it's fun, and the effects look nice.
I really don't know what to say about this level. The deco switches multiple times between two entirely different styles, and the gameplay feels just as chaotic. At least it's charming.
