Dash Till Puff 2D is probably the hardest minigame harder level in the game, and I would rank it in the 10 hardest harder levels personally. Be prepared for a janky variety of gameplay here and generally an unpleasant experience.

0-6% is a basic ship part, gets very consistent with practice

6-11% is a basic ufo part, gets very consistent but the hitboxes can be misleading

11-16% is a “swing” part similar to wave wave by TheRealDarnoc where every tap instantly flips your gravity. It gets consistent but the unique gameplay can trip you up

16-21% is a spam “pogo stick” gameplay part where every tap slams your icon into the ground. This is the first hard part of the level imo, make sure you find a consistent path here or you will die a lot here

21-30% is a unique “wave” part where your icon automatically jumps back and forth between the ceiling and ground and you can hold to speed up its gravity. With a consistent path this part is easy. One of my favorite parts imo, this kind of gameplay is cool

30-37% is a standard upside down ship part. The only tricky thing here is there’s not good indication that the ship is upside down, you just have to memorize that, and I died to this transition a bunch of times

37-45% is the only 2P part of the level - one input brings you up, the other brings you down like a wave. This part is free, but just remember it’s 2P - toggle your controls so your dominant hand makes it go up here

45-54% is free, I’m not sure how the gameplay is supposed to work here but you can basically just slide along the ground and tap to jump like a cube

54-60% is yet another ship part. Not much to say here

60-67% is another “pogo stick” part where you spam to hit the ground. Probably the last major choke point of the level, practice this part a ton

67-73% is another “swing” wave part where you tap repeatedly to alternate gravity back and forth. I died here twice and it was very painful :(

73-80% is another upside down ship part - the only hard part here is remembering you’re upside down

80-85% is a ball part where you can tap midair to flip gravity, it’s very easy

85-90% is an easy ufo part but the hitboxes can be misleading so be prepared

90-96% is another custom wave gameplay part where you jump back and forth between the ceiling and ground and hold to speed up your gravity - it’s easy but make sure you have a consistent setup

96-100% is a part where you tap to teleport between 3 lanes to avoid passing obstacles (similar to the Muffet bossfight in Undertale)

Overall, no part of this level is that hard - the difficulty comes from remembering what game mode you’re in at every part as you are given very little time to react. I found this the most unpleasant 2.1 level on the hardest harder list, it was extremely unfun to play the whole time due to bad transitions

Visually, this level looks like a good recreation of Dash Till Puff. I’ve never played the original so I’m not a good judge though

I love that this level used the entirety of the song Unity by TheFatRat, you rarely hear the vocal parts of this song in rated levels

Graveyard is probably the second hardest 2P harder level in the game behind Choleric. Be prepared for a very tight fast wave part at the end, some tight ship gameplay, and the aforementioned 2P part. I recommend turning always limit controls off and not flipping 2P controls so your dominant hand can control the wave at the dual and all the 1P parts.

First of all, this level uses a NONG by bossfight, so if you’re on mobile you’ll have to play without the song which sucks. The NONG sync is good though so I won’t dock points for that.

0-19% contains a free 7 star difficulty cube part. Not much to say here other than it gets boring when you’re playing from 0

19-37% contains a free 7 star difficulty ball part that is similarly boring from 0

37-44% is when the difficulty really ramps up - you have a very precise tight ship control section. Practice this part a lot

44-62% is an easy mini UFO part, but it can be deceptive. If you get out of the click pattern here you can force a delayed death which can be annoying

62-80% is the infamous 2P dual part of this level. Thankfully only the wave requires intense focus in this part, the cube only requires about 5 inputs total, so just make sure your dominant hand is controlling the wave and you should be fine. Practice this part a ton as it is easy to forget where to jump with the cube. By the end of my practice I could do this part like 4 times in a row, it gets very consistent

80-100% is the hardest part of the level imo, but wave is my weakest game mode so I’m biased. You have an extremely tight Black Blizzard esque final wave part that requires intense focus. It starts 2x speed, then 0.5x speed, and finishes 1x speed, so don’t let the constant speed changes trip you up. I died here 6 times in normal, so don’t underestimate this part

Overall, this level is pretty fun, but it’s so second half heavy that it gets boring in normal. I don’t really recommend this unless you want to practice 2P nerve control or you want to beat all the Hardest Harder levels. RobTop definitely should have rated this medium demon imo

Visually the level looks alright for 1.9 standards I suppose. Most of it is black and white which fits the graveyard name theme.

Choleric is widely considered one of the hardest harder levels in the game. I would personally rank it as the #2 hardest harder level just behind Hazy Blood. This level is infamous for having an asymmetrical 2P part at the very end, so make sure you have some 2P experience before going for this.

0-16% has an annoying cube part with lots of fakes and precise timings. It gets consistent but it forces you to lock in every attempt which makes it annoying

16-22% is a precise wave part with one fake and a few gravity portals. It’s one of the easiest parts of the level

22-27% has a very janky ship part - it gets consistent but prepare for a few annoying deaths here

27-33% has an even jankier ball part. I died here a lot in normal, the click pattern is just a little unintuitive for me

33-40% has a UFO that is often called one of the hardest parts. I won’t lie, it is pretty bad, but I was able to do it consistently by the end. The transition into and out of this UFO can be rough.

40-48% is (imo) the hardest part of the level. You have a cube part with many precise timings. There’s one timing in particular that must be 60Hz frame perfect or something. Just try to practice the pattern for this part, get visual cues for all the timings, and pray you can do it in normal

48-56% is an easy memory ball part, but I still died to it twice in normal because of all the fakes.

56-69% is a mini ship part that reminds me of 8o and Crack’s part in Bloodbath. It takes some practice but it is very consistent

69-73% is a short mini wave spam part. It’s easy, but fatigue from doing all the previous parts caused me to die here twice.

78-100% is the infamous Choleric 2P dual. Ironically, it is pretty short for how iconic it is, but that doesn’t stop it from being the hardest part to learn. You have to do a few precise inputs on both sides of the dual, and the transition to the ball ship dual can be janky. It took me hundreds of attempts just to do this part once. It’s not as hard as a lot of the previous parts, but it is still one of the hardest parts of the level so expect at least a few deaths here

Overall the gameplay is pretty fun, but there are too many janky parts for me to give this above a 5/10 gameplay wise. If you’re struggling with this level I highly recommend doing increasingly long runs to 100 (the Vortrox “Beat-em Backwards” strat)

The song choice is excellent - Genesis (the -SIRIUS- song) has always been one of my favorites.

The visuals are pretty generic for 2.0 standards. Some parts look like 2.0 and some parts look like 1.9 which makes this level standout, but nothing seems that impressive visually imo

Overall, this level is alright, but it should be medium / hard demon, nowhere near 7 star difficulty

Cool effects for what it’s worth, although the only gameplay is holding to charge an arrow and releasing to fire it at the Clubstep Monster in the middle of River’s part in Slaughterhouse so it doesn’t get points for gameplay

The Three Pillars is considered by many to be the second hardest harder level in the game. Personally, I’d put it around #10 on the Hardest Harder list. It’s an XL level with hard wave parts towards the end, so make sure you have practice with wave and nerve control before attempting this.

This level can be split into three sections:

0-27%: Rayquaza

Probably my least favorite part of the level as it is the most unbalanced. Most of this part is free with basic easy demon difficulty ship control. However, at 16-17%, you have possibly the jankiest and tightest ship control part of any harder level I’ve ever played. Trust me, dodging the moving thunderbolts is WAY harder than it looks and you don’t really understand how bad this part is until you’ve played it yourself. Luckily, if you can pass 17%, you actually have a decent shot at reaching Groudon, the final pillar, so long as you don’t choke on Kyogre

27-66%: Kyogre

Surprisingly the easiest part of the level. This part is all about memory, so as long as you practice it a couple hundred attempts you should have no issues here. I find the hardest part of this section is actually from 27-31% before you even face Kyogre - you have to spam with the UFO a precise number of times at a precise percent to avoid the wave of dragons. The rest of Kyogre is just a matter of knowing what attacks to dodge, but none of these attacks are difficult to dodge skill-wise. The robot from 55-66% can be unsightreadable, so make sure you fully memorize what platforms to jump from before playing in normal.

66-100%: Groudon

Arguably the hardest part of the level, especially if you struggle with wave. Most of this section is memory, but 75-77% requires some insanely precise mini wave control for a 7 star level. Trust me, this part is a lot harder than it looks and I died to it 3 times in normal. If you can get past 77% though, you have a very good shot at beating the level. The rest of this wave part is just knowing where to spam and maneuver the wave. Then at 88% you have a free robot part, just make sure you’re prepared for it as nerves can kill you here

I really wanted to enjoy this level - it fits my XL skillset pretty well. Unfortunately, it’s just super boring to play in normal imo. Rayquaza is free aside from the thunderbolt part at 16%, so most attempts ended there, over 30 seconds into the level. The song doesn’t help much, I really dislike this remix of the Hoenn Legendary theme. Any death past Rayquaza felt like a gut punch, a wasted opportunity. And at the end of the day, the mini wave at 75% just felt like the lottery

For all these reasons, I cannot recommend this level unless your goal is to beat the entire Hardest Hard list.

As for my visual score, I would say it looks good for 2.0 but that’s mostly because of the pixel art that was copied from Pokemon so I can’t give it credit for that. By the time I beat this level I thought this looked like an eyesore, but that might just be me.

For being the hardest harder level in the game, Hazy Blood is an absolute banger. Just be warned - this level is very first half heavy so be prepared to spend upwards of 20 minutes on the predrop from 0% before even getting a chance at the drop.

This level can be split into three sections:

0-44%: The Predrop

This section is an absolute gauntlet of some of the tightest timings in any 1-7 star level. Almost every jump is triple spike difficulty and you have to do about 50 of these timings in a row without any break. In particular, the blue orbs from 15-17%, the blue orb at 28%, and the blue orbs at 38% are absolutely brutal and I died to them over and over again trying to go for this. This part is the first time a Geometry Dash level part has ever made my fingers bleed, which is fitting given the level name. As for deco, this part looks pretty solid, it fits the blood red theme with the classic 1.9 style perfectly

44-88%: The Drop

By far the most fun part of the level, and one of the greatest examples of mirror portal spam I have ever seen in any level period. First you have a straightfly mini ship part - it’s not as bad as it looks as an invisible platform allows you to easily get your initial height and then you straightfly from there. At 50% you have a UFO that’s easier than it looks with the right click pattern, but the mirror portal transition can throw you off. At 57% you have a mirror wave part that’s stressful but easy - most of my deaths to the drop in normal were here for some reason. At 62% you have a ball part with two tight timings. At 67% you have a Cycles-esque ship part that’s easier than it looks. At 73% you have a stressful mini ufo that’s easier than it looks, followed by an easy mini wave at 77% and an easy mini ball at 84%. The mini ball has a fake so be prepared. I’d recommend placing a start position at the beginning of this part and trying to do 44-100 at least a few times before attempting in normal.

88-100%: The Post-Drop

By far the most nerve wracking part, and unfortunately this part has been buffed since the original version. First you have a blind mini cube 2-spike jump - I died to this twice in normal - I’d recommend either finding an audio cue or a percent decimal cue that works for you so you don’t die to the blind jump. What follows is a gauntlet of 9 hard triple spike jumps in a row, something straight out of The Triple Trial by Michigun. What makes this deceptively hard is the flashing red lights. This ending may look easy, but I died to it nearly 10 times in normal, so do not underestimate it.

If you can get past all of that, congratulations! You have beaten the hardest 7 star level in GD. :)

It’s honestly a tragedy that RobTop underrated this at 7 stars, this could have been one of the most enjoyable hard demons in the game. However, being the hardest harder makes it a lot more recognizable so maybe it’s a blessing in disguise.

Compared to a lot of underrated harders, I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it to anyone. Just be prepared to die to the predrop a lot, it’s brutal.
