MASTERPIECE, MASTERPIECE, MASTERPIECE. Perfect execution of literally EVERYTHING I could think of. I had already seen the 2 previews of this level on Subwoofer’s YT channel but I was def NOT ready for what was coming. This level, for me, manages to maintain perfect quality for all the 6-7 minutes it lasts, both in gameplay and decoration. The level has a clearly strong theme and I love how it is incorporated in the level, and the decoration is amazing and at the same time so clean than makes the gameplay VERY fun and easy to read

But what takes the cake for me is the way the coin routes were executed. I thought you had to play 3 extra levels along with the normal route, making it a lot longer and more stressful to play. But apparently, whenever you get in a coin route, if you die before reaching the coin, you can attempt the coin route IMMEDIATELY after restarting. And if you die after getting the coin, you restart from the beginning of the level, but the coin is permanently saved and you don’t need to recollect it. This makes it a LOT less punishing that it would have otherwise been and I appreciate the thought. It reminds me of what Next Cab Soon did, but this is on a completely different level.

Not really anything else to say, banger level, SUPER SUPER SUPER deserved Mythic. As someone who got 72%, I’m surprised people think it’s only Medium Demon difficulty. Personally I’d rate it Hard Demon, but whatever.

I’m dead sure many people will disagree with me, but I honestly found this level REALLY fun to play. Yes, during my first practice run I actually thought “oh I can’t see anything this is going to be awful to play”, but it turned out that in almost every part the gameplay is either sync-based or very sight-readable despite the INSANE amount effects, making it a very memorable experience imo. This reminds me a lot of what Kira9999 managed to do with Alien Dream Emulator, and for me Darwin succeeded in that as well. And honestly, I don’t think it’s very easy to make a level enjoyable for players when there is THAT much going on in the background.

Speaking about that, I love the way the crazy effects manage to represent the intensity of the song to perfection, and it just shows once again how good of a creator is Darwin.

I’m not sure if I really need to review this level given its immense popularity, but I’m still gonna say that it absolutely DESERVES it. Not only YoReid’s new keyframe skills with the skeletons are mindblowing, but I also love how CLEAN the decoration is. It is clean in a way that I have never seen and that also makes the gameplay much more clear to see to me.

About the gameplay, for the most part is just good overall, but for me the highlights are the spider parts and the bossfight. YoReid and Airz probably made the spider parts sync to the music in the best way possible which made them a lot more satisfying to play through. As for the bossfight, the attacks are REALLY unique and I think I’ve never seen a bossfight that gave me a feeling of being in the middle of an scary, yet epic battle.

Overall I can’t honestly give this a lower score than 10. One of the best levels ever made in all aspects and absolutely deserves all of its popularity

I genuinely love seeing levels like this because they’re exactly the kind of levels that clearly try (and succeed) to prioritize gameplay over visuals, which I’m always a fan of since overall it always makes for a better playing experience.

This level is peak in the best way possible. Every part of this level has challenging yet really unique and gimmicky gameplay in a really interesting way, and once you learn it, it’s easy, it becomes nothing but fun. The real challenge comes from doing ALL of the parts together for a total of 9+ minutes of playthrough, because one thing is learning the level, which is absolutely possible, another one is use what you’ve learn while maintaining nerve control for nine minutes straight. This level is a stress test; if you’re skilled enough, the ONLY thing stopping you from beating is your own endurance.

If you’ve some experience with hard/insane demons, have good nerve control and want something to challenge your skills in all of the 7 gamemodes, I definitely would recommend trying to go for this level.
