I really really want to like this level and it has extremely high peaks, but there are just so many questionable decisions that really dampen my experience. The obnoxious sfx playing makes the experience feel weird, and the weird gimmicky wave part at 45% with the player color star is very unclear for a level of this difficulty. Worst part by far is the extremely dissatisfying ending having the song abruptly get cut off.

There are so many things I love about this level and the emulation part is genuinely amazing, but it's just very hard to focus on all of that with how many level ruining glaring issues there are.

Usually levels with a "I can't believe this was made in GD!" sort of appeal have me averse, as they often feel like they don't even want to be a GD level and compromise on those fronts. Aperture is an exception, having mind blowing effects that feel amazing to traverse and experience while playing. The icon isn't being forced to move in ways that feel unnatural, which often makes other levels that focus on crazy effects feel repulsive, and every part actually feels great. The 3D section was an experience I felt I hadn't truly had before, flowing well and feeling natural unlike other one's I've experienced.

While it looks pretty and was fun for a first time experience, I don't see this sticking to me long term though as that wow factor wears off, but at the time of writing this I can't really be too sure on that so maybe I'm just being pessimistic.
