Goofy old devin level. Extremely inconsistent in fundemental style as with most old devin levels but it's so wacky and has pretty impressive art that I can't help but raise this a bit
Final Orbit does have its merits. The dreamlike aspect of memory is captured pretty well, and the asteroid impact in the cutscene is pretty suspenseful. However, there are certainly issues with this level caused by how ambitious it is.
There is no relation between the background and the foreground in the second half of the level and theres also no middleground, making the whole level feel like one decorated an unstructured visual-focused layout and didnt fill in any of the gaps. I do like the first half quite a lot though soooo
Extremely goofy. Possibly themed around late 2000s early 2010s pop culture but it's anyone's guess. Obviously cuts corners in order to retain its cinematic traits and doesn't work well for it but it does have cool moments
Truly appreciate synthi for giving me a better appreciation of the game as an art form and eventually shaping my view on art as a whole. He's around the same age as me which is wild to think about (i.e. child gives younger child a lesson on why fiji by nasgubb is peak)
