Hard to explain why but of all the dorabaebasics, this one definitely makes the best case for people's intense nostalgia for the series. True to its name, it is quite basic, but there's just this untouchable mastery to the simplicity that I think lies at the heart of why this game has been so magical in all its history.

I always loved the idea of just flying above a cute little landscape, and I love how Supernova is used. Really just a classic.

The story told by Killbot and Requiem has always been heartrending, with Requiem complimenting Killbot's outward viciousness with inward violence and even a hit of sentimentality. Don't obey the virus. <3

This level is so gorgeous, the way this level uses black/darker shades is exemplary and has been seared into my brain since I saw this back in 5th grade. Masterclass

Beauty in simplicity epitomized. Doesn't take much to make something incredible if your heart is there.

Best rainbow use ever in a level so modest; that said, its modesty makes no detraction from its insane beauty. Feels so fresh and so reminiscent in a way most creators could only dream of achieving in their levels. It really does just make me happy in a way the old level I look back on do, and I hope Zhen can keep creating that magic.

When that 3x speed portal hit I was like "yay!" also one of the best name ever cos i don't really get the level exactly but with that name as context it just makes me feel a way I can't explain right now I guess I feel like one of the girls we should be the girls together bestie
