I'm very conflicted here. I don't know if I'm supposed to feel the sort of mechanical sensation of a walk while playing this level, a theme of focusing on now and not worrying about my surroundings, just putting one foot in front of the other (which is aided by the minimal style and the jump indicators), but I feel that there's more to this level that feels underdeveloped. Idk, I usually think of a "stroll" as taking in what's around you and sort of drifting around without a care, so a lot of what makes that previous theme work makes it worse here. I may come back to this after a while.
Pretty good. I love how much it feels unabashedly early 2.2 the same way levels like Temple of Destiny feel unabashedly early 2.1. I think part of the reason why is the song choice, but I also think some of these set pieces also lend themselves to this vibe.
I can appreciate the quality of the boss with its randomized attacks, and I also like the little details present here, a standout example being the final part with the skeletons infighting over the gem. Other than that I'm pretty indifferent to negative on this; the camera movements are annoying, the gameplay is pretty standard, and the style wears thin after a while.
This level is pretty interesting since it feels like it was created with a 1.9 mindset translated to 2.1. That being said, I can't really say this is anything to write home about except for maybe the rainbow ship part, which is the standout part of the level.
