Super fun gameplay. It's decently hard — definitely deserving of its 9* rating — but still super easy to understand, and it syncs really well with the music. The progression feels really good too; I love that the clouds get denser farther into the drop.
Yet another awesome level from everyone's either favorite or second favorite GD creator turned dubstep artist (depending on your relative opinion of Sharks (and maybe Kaval, too, but I don't count him as a creator since he never really had any prominence in GD (he does make cool music, though))), and I don't see why this didn't get legendary. The effects are phenomenal — you can clearly tell that MKT used all the new features to their absolute fullest, and while it's still very much his standard cartoony style, it also looks absolutely stunning in terms of visuals. The gameplay is fun, too; even though everything's mainly focused on the effects, it still feels cool to play. Super cool level; highly recommend.
Super fun level. The gameplay works very well with the music, and the decoration also creates a really fun atmosphere. I also like the sense of progression the level has; each part feels different, but not so different as to be jarring.
Super cool effects. The mirror effect in the first part is kinda disorienting, but it's still super cool, and the continued use of similar gimmicks not only provides a nice motif for the level to revolve around, but also lets the effects continue to look super cool. The wave part with the other waves that come in and follow you is probably one of my favorite parts.
Phenomenal theming. Everything — the song, the gameplay, the deco, the mildly unnerving atmosphere — really drives home the point that something's not quite right. I like that there's some text in some parts to help tell the story, and the repetition of all the different motifs, such as the eyes and the number 3, helps everything feel united.
Gameplay feels a little empty in places, but I think this is supposed to be more of an atmospheric level. The hands that appear and disappear during the buildup definitely feel ominous and threatening, and I feel like the rest of the level does a pretty good job conveying the idea that maybe you might not want to be here. I also like that the drop corrects you if you mess up; it really helps keep the difficulty balanced while also matching the intensity of the song.
Super charming level. The gameplay is really fun, save for one specific part that you can still clear by spamming, so it isn't that bad. The deco is reminiscent of Knots' level "Rectangle"; the pixelated art style with the mostly light color scheme is cute and also works pretty well with the new 2.2 tilesets. And speaking of 2.2, the usage of camera triggers and sound effects is very good. It's the perfect blend of 2.2's novelty and 2.1's quality.
It's a kitty!!!!! Instant 10/10
In all seriousness, though, I loved this level. The gameplay was super fun to learn and felt really good to pull off, despite a couple of minor inconsistencies in the first half. The blackout part at the end felt especially creative; the flashlight idea definitely contributed to the level's overall spooky aesthetic. The only thing that confuses me about the deco is the random Japan-themed part right before the blackout part, which at least matches the change in tone of the song, but still feels kinda out of place. The other parts were varied enough that it didn't feel too jarring, though.
I love the way this level takes you on a journey. Unlike a lot of hell-themed levels, it shows you a bunch of different places and gives them all names. Every part feels different, and yet they all feel interconnected. And the ending cutscene makes it clear that there's a reason this journey was undertaken. Awesome storytelling; highly recommend.
