Kinda mediocre level all around. It's fine, but the gameplay doesn't have quite the same flow as other levels — some parts aren't even paced to follow the four-measure rule like the song does — and the deco doesn't really stand out either.
The first large-scale minigame level in Geometry Dash, and it's not bad at all. It has a rather simplistic storyline, but the NPCs all being penguins helps it stand out more (and it's really cute). The controls are a little clunky, but it's kinda hard to find a better way to implement two-dimensional movement with only two inputs, so it kinda has to be that way, and it's certainly better than some of the stuff Serponge has done in previous levels. The pacing is pretty good as well; while there were a couple things here and there that felt a little harder than I expected, most of it felt like a pretty natural difficulty curve. Overall, while it did frustrate me a bit at times, I liked this level. My only complaint is that there are a number of visual bugs, like the player's position on the minimap drifting off randomly.
The first half has some nice theming. It's pretty simple, with a dark atmosphere, unintrusive block designs and the most notable decoration being the crosswalk symbols flashing at the bottom. The second half takes all that and shatters it, favoring instead bright reds, yellows and greens and generally messy designs. It even contains the Deadlocked bossfight in one part. Overall, I'd say it's a great experience. Just make sure to practice it first. Especially the ending. You'll need it.
Cool level. It definitely has a specific feeling it wants to convey, and I think it does it quite nicely. I like the occasional references to various pieces of internet lore; I probably didn't understand all of them, but the few I did get were cool.
Very cool level. Conveys a very dark atmosphere with hints towards something else. I don't know Morse code, so I couldn't decipher all the secret messages, but I do like the idea; it definitely adds a feeling of mystery. The only complaint I have with the gameplay is that it isn't exactly obvious what the wave part is about, but once you figure that out, all the gameplay definitely adds to the atmosphere.
My favorite thing about this level is how the whole thing uses only three gamemodes. It really makes it feel as if you're playing some sort of adventure game. The only real complaint I have is that the ship part feels kinda weird in places (particularly that one part with the jump pad; you'll know exactly what I'm talking about). Overall, though, it's not bad.
Extremely fun gameplay. Some of the most fun I've played in a while, really. Admittedly, the first spider feels like a minor choke point, but it doesn't really detract from the enjoyability at all. The deco looks super cool, too.
