It's like turning on a very old computer but you find out that everything is all over the place, it is hard to get the hang of everything since the internet aesthetic today that you've been using feels very spoon fed and there is really not much to chew on. miss you is a very unconventional and it stands out in its over represented difficulty, the way miss you starts and progresses is something that can not be easily recreated effectively. I really do feel the 20 year old aesthetic sinking in its atmosphere, its kind of scary to try and understand gameplay like this but it really is one of the best.
You find an old book covered in dust by an old closet, and it’s a tale about a person that traveled all around the globe, embracing the scenery and exploring everything in it, that person knows that they are going to feel nostalgic about their journey at some point, they know how valuable time is and they are still willing to spend most of their lifetime alone as they continue with their travel. The person is headed to a certain destination and they start to discover their own path when they start to identify unfamiliar colors.
One day they’ll grow up like the trees they passed, they will realize that blood does have its way after all that time and with that they will be able to see the world in a new light, a light that is full of color and joy. It was the moment of self realization and with that they will always be reminiscent of their lonely travel.
I've thought about this map more recently and I genuinely find it very fascinating, there is something oddly human of just creating something as mindless as this and I think more creators should think about their process more. You do not need to feel ambitious in the editor, creating something out of judgement like yoy did is almost no where seen in this game nowdays, you may still find silly things in the recent tab but they dont ever come close as the normality of yoy did. I think there is a reason why this is so fondly remembered out of the mass dislikes and the silly name.
I absolutely adore how expansive and freeing the gameplay is, you dont essentially spam all the way through but more so you need to think about how you approach your jumps in each circle universe, and even if you have figured out a consistent path of your own it'd still feel that you're doing something different every time. its really engaging and beautiful, I am floating to all kinds of places in this wOrld and I'd even go as deep as expressing how spiritual the designs feel, its just very surreal and I haven't quite played anything like it.
Well Rested advices us to do better as a human civilization and make the world a more natural, creative and a spacious environment that everyone would chew to live on, the decoration, gameplay and vibe are very organic and they resemble that beautifully, it paints the song's wishes in a very special way that no other map in the game can achieve very smoothly.
I can't talk about Well Rested of course without mentioning its progression and how it uses borders to create an effective and a chilling climax, it always shows something beautiful when its morning, evening or night. You get to see the shining stars in the sky as you dash along the colorful, celestial obstacles, its a very chilling moment that I often come back to think about. It's a really beautiful and an impactful experience I think everybody should play.

a nice walk in an autumn night, mixed with some magic throughout the trip. sky so dark the surrealist stars shine, emitting joy and charm as you continue walking by. crossing through the nonsensical patterns through your way, they lead nowhere but time, time where the sun finally rises. it hits all emotions, and is a journey I'll never forget experiencing.
I've had a lot of interpretations of constellations and what made it a very special map to me, its so simple yet so effective and I think that gives the player a lot of thoughts on the seemingly awkward decisions like the obvious skips and the overall balancing throughout its duration, it doesnt play like a normal demon and I think that gives it a ton of character. When you think outside the globe you would talk on and on about the crazy celestial bodies that are all around the universe, but have you ever thought about the empty space from one to another and try visualizing these random patterns to something meaningful to you? Think outside the box and pass the obstacle that is nowhere to be found in this world. No interpitation is superior over the other and I believe that applies to everything. Go and reach your dreams!
This map is really striking with its pulses and progression, even with only 2 colors, Scarlet Surge feels very powerful to play from start to finish. The gameplay feels more tricky as you go on, its really engaging and very easy to mess up, and that being combined to the flashes that hit with every jingle of the song makes the experience very intense and striking. I was literally shaking in the ending when I first played it, and seeing my cube free out of this chaotic tunnel, seeing the flying stars and sliding past the Insendium logo genuinely felt very freeing. Very simple and effective!
