It's like turning on a very old computer but you find out that everything is all over the place, it is hard to get the hang of everything since the internet aesthetic today that you've been using feels very spoon fed and there is really not much to chew on. miss you is a very unconventional and it stands out in its over represented difficulty, the way miss you starts and progresses is something that can not be easily recreated effectively. I really do feel the 20 year old aesthetic sinking in its atmosphere, its kind of scary to try and understand gameplay like this but it really is one of the best.

Pretty fitting for this map if you ask me! what's so bad about being high?
I've never been more uncomfortable playing or even watching Exasperation, its truly one of a kind impossible map and actually ahead of its time when you consider that most impossible gameplay nowdays feel completely robotic and artificial, the question marked jump rings and portals make the gameplay feel so much more surprising and engaging and I think quirks like this is what most impossible maps out there severely lack at. Exasperation is just so organic, unconventional, and even nightmarish to some extent. I was actually really terrified of its atmosphere and bizarreness back when it released.
And no I dont think this needs decoration, I dont even want to call it a layout because the geometry dash essence makes it feel very unknown and carefree, there isnt much to interpret here other than basing it off of how it feels and how it plays, at least that's how it is to me. I dont think any kind of decoration could ''improve'' Exasperation because it may provide more context and overall just demolish its geometry dash feel, the gameplay surpasses expectations every time as you progress through and I think that is something to think about. Just dont touch it, let it sink in its mysterious abyss.
You find an old book covered in dust by an old closet, and it’s a tale about a person that traveled all around the globe, embracing the scenery and exploring everything in it, that person knows that they are going to feel nostalgic about their journey at some point, they know how valuable time is and they are still willing to spend most of their lifetime alone as they continue with their travel. The person is headed to a certain destination and they start to discover their own path when they start to identify unfamiliar colors.
One day they’ll grow up like the trees they passed, they will realize that blood does have its way after all that time and with that they will be able to see the world in a new light, a light that is full of color and joy. It was the moment of self realization and with that they will always be reminiscent of their lonely travel.
Very challenging and intense, I've always respected this map's bravery on what to put and not change. It is always fun to get far on this and pass each part which its gameplay is vastly different from the other, unlike its remasters which usually relied on a singular gamemode to be a master at.
Very substance-less, while the idea in its self is interesting it just polishes and changes the difficulty of each part significantly. Zobros did it better because he was confident enough to literally copy and put the parts together and I think that is a more interesting challenge to conquer, its not afraid to put decode and cataclysm during its 3 minute duration.
I think this had the potential to be really good and creative, the gameplay just sadly seems heavily playtested or really safe and as a result it’s not very engaging or intuitive to play, I think this prioritizes decoration and effects more, even though they look absolutely stunning.
That aside I rly like the screaming energy and the contrasting backgrounds and designs, it really pops out throughout its duration but I don’t think they make up too much for it.
