Dead Of Night has some cool things, but is unfortunately very held back by Geometry Dash itself. It’s fun to grab some popcorn and watch, but the object count and lack of persistent checkpoints makes a level with this large of a scope pretty much unplayable for most, including myself. The fact that just opening it can crash even 2.207 should have immediately been considered a code red catastrophe by the team.
This idea still has unexplored potential, but for an early attempt, sure, this works.
I really wanted to like this level.
It doesn’t drag on for as long as it used to before the updates, but whoopa gangnam style is pretty long for what it offers.
I miss the size portal spam — removing it killed the energy of this level’s otherwise boring drop — but I appreciate Danolex going back to improve the transition, making it more reliable and bringing a fake default ship up to the player. Nothing too crazy to mention here other than that.
Well, you gotta start somewhere. Pretty good by 2013 standards.
