nobackgrounds is one of those levels I keep trying to give a chance, but I can’t get myself to like it very much. The gameplay is inoffensive, but many of the designs are pretty nonsensical. I guess that’s cool if you’re into that — it gives it a childlike, toybox feel, the same way I would scribble keypads on the walls when I was younger — but I don’t find this super remarkable, other than being rated.
The designs are rough but the creativity is very prominent. Love seeing stuff like this from new creators
I find it difficult to rate this any higher with how reliant it is on the original BGA (which I don’t think is inherently bad, though a bit less interesting in my eyes), but it does a really good job at representing it in GD.
This is the most solid entry in ProtoJoy’s ClassicLvl series. Definitely feels like something you could’ve seen back in the day and the sync is fairly spot-on.
This has similar sync issues to ClassicLv2, but I think the verticality in the latter half is fairly interesting and makes up for it.
I would have liked to see some better sync past the ship portal, and I am not a huge fan of the default block clumps, but far from the worst Back On Track remake.
Pretty straightforward Stereo Madness remake with generally better structuring than the original, though with some slightly learnier cube timings in the beginning.
What happened here
I’d give like, a 5 to the original version probably?
Not good even for its time, but you can get over it pretty quickly so not too bad. The ending is also kind of intriguing to me.
