aura

this level is mainly gameplay and song carried for me as i dont typically care for average 1.9 deco but it has its really cool moments (the mini wave and ufo). one thing i to this day dont understand is how people call this level buggy and rng. i keep seeing people saying the dual doesnt make any sense but its 100% consistent. you literally Just Click

also this song is really good i love skrillex and this level just uses it so well with its gameplay, i love this level so much

still in awe that this got rated

not to say its not rate worthy, in fact i think its very rate worthy but robtop rating a level this hard is unheard of. I've known about this level since before it got verified and throughout time i just keep liking it more and more. the deco is very nice, especially when its the creator's first rate, but the thing i like most about this level is its gameplay. holy shit if you haven't watched a video of this yet, you actually have to. its the most fucked up insanity gameplay of all time and its sick as hell

i haven't actually played it myself but that's mainly due to it being super out of my skillset and skill range (i've done a practice run of delightful climb but that's so much easier to approach than THIS). but i've heard from the 2 people that have beaten it that it's actually fun, and i've seen people have fun doing runs. having a fun top 1 (not to say convolution is bad) is awesome and pretty rare, i mean look at amethyst lmao

super happy this finally got rated, "matter of fact, i don't even listen to rappers!"

I first saw this level without the song, and I wasn't really paying attention so the like next day I watched a real showcase of it and its pretty amazing

not gonna be great at wording this but this level like put me in a world I've never been in before, the fucked up impossible gameplay is also really interesting to me considering how much in contrasts to the song and deco

I love when impossible levels don't rely on wave spam or 2p ship or whatever so it was really interesting seeing how this level "worked"

big fan

electricnj made me review this

very well made player colour level, and with it being a grenadeoftacos level the designs are also insane. admittedly im not the biggest fan of when tacos is in a collab bc his design style is always significantly different from everyone else but when he makes solo levels they always end up incredible. I honestly don't know how tacos does it, making these designs and colour effects in the 1.9 editor is actually crazy, and I think tacos and herozombie are like the only good 1.9 editor creators tbh. a lot of 1.9 editor levels feel kinda pointless, like making it in 2.2 editor would just be better every time but I think this level works perfectly in 1.9.

another thing to happen in most 1.9 gdps levels is that the gameplay ends up being like terrible (and with a lot of tacos levels :nails:) but damn I really enjoy the gameplay in this level. the duals flow so smoothly and I love the wave parts.

now for some nitpicky things I don't really like. the click indicators in the ufo part 1st of all are kinda ugly and 2nd of all kinda piss me off because it would be so much better without them, like there are full memory parts in this level why are there click indicators. some parts towards the end kinda feel a liiiiitle lazy considering how empty it is and I wish the quality was consistent throughout

anyways very good level but free.99 remix of the song clears

♤ my very first platformer extreme! I first saw my friend montanso play this on stream and I immediately fell in LOVE with it.

I'm not known for having good takes, and I like considerably bad levels and when I saw this gameplay, I thought it was hilarious. long checkpoints, unskippable cutscenes, and blind timings. not to say those things make a level good, but they do make it funny. that funny factor carried to me practicing it, and once I started learning it actually turned out to be really good. its basically just all corner jumps timings (a big part of my skillset) and overall a very lengthy level.

decoration wise, this is actually really good for how early 2.2 it is. I love how it establishes that winter/snowy setting with the 3 checkpoints in the beginning, and having a very long dungeon exploration part. the trap design is pretty basic, and to me, sometimes just fall flat. the water rising part is just too slow to give any sort of rushing feeling, especially in the jetpack. however I do appreciate how many arrow traps there are scattered throughout (and the bombs are cool)

this level is definitely not for everyone, but I know there are people out there who will love this level. (recommended yessss

♤ entrenched used to be my hardest for a couple of months and it's such a good level. for how old it is (like one of the first 5 or 6 plat extremes) it plays surprisingly well. it's all robot gameplay that focuses on corner jumps and tight precision gameplay and that's kinda just exactly what I like. the decoration gives a vibe similar to the abyss but much friendlier and less looming. the songs help with the vibe incredibly well and it uses platformer features really well for being so old. my least fav part gameplay wise is easily ending, I think it almost breaks the flow every part had by suddenly being an autoscroller and having cycle gameplay. would recommend to beat
