Within me, an evil voice told me to go on. "For completion's sake," I think is what they said. For a fool I am, I listened to them.
Funnily enough, I would compare this level to Random Processing in spirit: despite random triggers not being a thing, the movement of the UFO feels random enough that any attempt feels a bit like praying for RNGesus to bless you this time. The neat thing about Flappy Bird, the original, was that there was no goal, so if you got a score you were proud with, you could just quit; there was no obscenely high objective for you to struggle towards. Perhaps that would have appealed to some people.
Is there any other level as profoundly disgusting as this? Sure, there are copious amounts of bad levels on the servers, but their atrociousness only goes skin deep; it's nothing like the visceral revulsion I feel when my eyes are forced to witness the resplendent foulness of Magma Bound. Everything about this level—from the way the horrid characters move around the screen with unnaturally bouncy tweens, practically begging the player to gaze upon their putrid likeness, to the gameplay, which at times feels like the creator just randomly shifted various structures around by half a block or so—serves to fill me with more antipathy than even the lowest of gross-out content. Man Man has straight-up gore and pornography, but it's so explicit that it ends up being more funny than anything. Magma Bound, on the other hand, doesn't even seem to realize how utterly revolting it is, and it repeatedly throws new and awful imagery at the player, all masked as a mere goofy art level. It's really no wonder that ScorchVx's true claim to fame would eventually be designing those grotesque Trollface modifications that we've all seen—now exclusively relegated to TikToks made by annoying preteens. Truly, a legacy they deserve.
Every so often, I think "Hmm, I should go for Allegiance", then I do a practice run on Allegiance and remember why I never do. Maybe it's gonna be a good level the 34th time? I genuinely do not understand how Nikrodox earned any sort of fame and respect in the community, given the fact that all of his levels are atrocious. He's a bigger fraud than SpaceUK.
