The beginning of the level is really cool. You calmly make your way across these platforms, the easy difficulty giving you plenty of time to gaze at their surface, which doesn't look like it's made out of typical outline blocks; they're a bit too blurry. It's only when you crash into the wall at the end of the part, seeing the portal above, when you realize in the split second before respawning: you can go above the platforms! It should have been obvious: this is a 1.9 level, there are no invisible objects hidden in the connecting structures which will prevent you from just going up. On your second attempt, while paying close attention to figure out where to go up amidst the identical platforms, you notice that the tiny sawblades are the only real obstacles, and that there's even an earlier spot where you can jump up for a neat alternate route. It's an experience spread out over two attempts, and I love it so much.
After that, you have FunnyGame Crystals™
If it wasn't obvious already, Triaxis really loves Funnygame, which doesn't exactly stop her from doing some unique things, but unfortunately, pastiche will only get you so far. Specifically, I fail to see what any of this has to do with "time", aside from the artwork at the very beginning and end.
A pretty neat experiment. Of course, given that this was 1.9 and you can just see the obstacles, there's not much point in honing your reflexes to detect what color the laser will be. Perhaps the level is better off for it.
