Amazing theming for its time, even if it is just crosses scattered everywhere. The yellow-orb cube part is legendary for a reason: it forces you to be extremely aware of your surroundings and what's coming up next. Sure, you can learn it like you do any other memory part, but it feels so much more awesome to actually sightread. You could perhaps make some complaints about the gameplay (certain parts are very inconsistent indeed), but luckily, I fluked it from 16, so I can't say anything about that.
This level, like the name implies, radiates deadliness. I mean, come on, you literally walk on spikes! If that isn't a deadly thing to do, then I don't know what is. In all honesty, this level is actually really menacing, if a bit derivative of Clubstep. I debated a bit over whether I should give this a 7 or an 8, but I think that both its legacy and aura far outweigh its flaws. And, like, you walk on spikes!
Is it the best Death Grips level in the game? No, I think No Love by sprei still holds the throne in that regard, but this level, while ostensibly "sanitizing" its visuals to the extent that it actually got rated, is a really fun, frantic and chaotic level regardless, and while this style certainly wouldn't work with every Death Grips song, it definitely works here.
An absolutely gorgeous rainbow-themed level that, despite having plenty of moving objects, never managed to feel unfair or unreadable once. It's one of the few times I like a white accent color, because it feels like all the different colors of light in the level merging into one.
Among the many kooky 2.2 shader-based effect levels, this one stands out as having actual purpose to it. As the title implies, it's neural—it feels like a raw representation of a mind, part-organized and part-cluttered. I don't like the song though, an electronic track would have worked a bit better.
This is such a massive deviation from Insendium's typical style that I assumed it could only have been caused by some other level. However, this is just a collab. In this level, you see some elements of neon, and a copious use of air decoration with blending enabled, which simply makes the level look blurry at the high speeds you're traveling at. Insendium also really loves duals; thankfully, they actually know how to make them. Honestly, I quite like this style! Making stars out of glow objects and spamming them everywhere is a strategy I've used myself in the past. It's a good level, just not a good Insendium level.
This level doesn't seem to be as popular as Insendium's other levels, even those released around the same time as it. It's very weird, because this level is awesome! It has amazing structuring and a climax that looks like a 1.9 effect level. There are a few blind clicks, but those don't really ruin the level. Really good.
