This level's concept sounds cool but when put into practice you realize how many issues it has
If the original level was good mainly for gameplay and it hasn't completely replaced what rob buck made then you're missing something, the song is different and clashes thematically, every part transition is jarring, and all of this is assuming the original level was even good in the first place (it often wasn't!).
You would THINK I would have at least some attachment to this given its long history, but no, its history is that it got redone repeatedly. That's not very interesting
Somehow even uglier than its predecessor. It doesn't even keep the same girl throughout either. Gameplay is more generic, and there are too many goddamn flashes
I noticed that I had 50 10/10s and realized I'm not being a big enough hater so I think it's time for me to start reviewing more levels I hate
Starting with this bullshit whose only visually interesting features are just copied from elsewhere and also this is the source of some of the most boring gameplay ever conceived

Genuinely how do you make something with this song so incredibly boring. Like deadass I think you're going to be a lot more entertained by just staring at the album cover. Not a single memorable thing in here
The sulfur standard every remake should strive to avoid. The once insane gameplay isn't meaningfully built on and at some points like the orb mazes it's reduced to a husk. Meanwhile the humor is gone and the deco is generic. This is so generic and forgettable that even if there were nice little details I would be too bored to notice them
why couldn't it have been finity
Most levels that are hindered by song choice are simply passively made worse. You can get away with saying things like "This level is better if you ignore the song".
Then there's this. I genuinely hate this level, because it's screwed up in a way I haven't really seen anywhere else, and never to this extent. It's instead actively made worse by its song. Every single piece of this gets dragged down because of its god-awful """music""".
Parts that otherwise would've had high energy and intense gameplay are now forced to be lifeless and stale to bend the knee and obey the lifelessness of the music. Like you'd have to actually try to make 3x this boring. Not to mention it's poorly balanced, again, as the song demands. Likewise with the sync, a lot of parts barely even have it, and half of those that do feel horribly oversynced. The bossfight feels so thematically out of place with the song you gotta ask why it's even there. Actual catastrophe
It really is fascinating how this more or less set the expectation for NCs to all have the same structure and same gameplay and same deco and everything which held the vast majority of them back from being interesting, even though this is the reason they exist. You can even notice one of the other main reasons why most subsequent NCs suck already being in this level: the overfocus on the wave at the cost of all other parts. Add on the bad gameplay and this thing really set the standard low, eh?
